It’s clean, there’s a great assortment of equipment, it’s spread out and the people are friendly.
On the fence with an opinion due to Genesis' lack of facilities repair and maintenance. Broken equipment goes months without attention. Even basics are ignored - paper in the towel dispensers, disinfectant in the spray bottles. This is an overall impression of Genesis based on Aksarben and Cass Street locations while 84th & Q (my gym) is being remodeled.
Greta is a great instructor! She makes the classes so fun! Also, the front desk people have become very good over the last 6 months. Thank you for that!
The club has become dirty..locker rooms in female area are all messy, dirty towels on floors & wet towels left in shower stalls..lockers are all locked (when the club is quiet & not busy) you have to search for a locker you can use..the pool area is a mess..all rusty pipes & walls, cracked tiles..
I have been a member for many years, I LOVE the staff!!!! But the club has gone downhill..the members are "trashing" the place & it is not being cleaned up..it is too bad we can't keep it the higher clientele that we used to have...
Cleanliness—especially men’s locker room. Also, towel service would be nice—even if it’s provided for a fee I would use it.

In woman’s locker room unlock and reset lockers. There are several unusable lockers due to them being locked and never checked
Still a lot of pool work needed, from more regular cleaning of it and the whirlpool to infrastructure associated with ongoing operations. I appreciate your interest in seeking membership feedback but without a timeframe for needed repairs and impact to members it feels like company economics vs satisfying reasonable member concerns.
Someone today, 3/20 stole my white Owala water bottle and did not return it to lost and found.
I like the equipment and classes. I would like to see more hand sanitizer available and maybe slightly cleaner equipment. But I’m very happy with the gym and the price is good!
Space, equipment, staff
This is my rating when it comes to the actual facility which feels incredibly outdated and often a little dirtier than I would expect after 2 years of being overly cautious. I love the instructors of the classes I attend. Katie with Barre is fantastic, Miriam is lovely and so is Sonya. But the outdoor pool area is pretty lame considering how much it is used and would be made so much better with just some minor improvements. The locker rooms are gross and the area with the fake grass on the way into Studio 2- what the heck is going on there? It’s so weird and again, feels gross to step on material that looks nearly impossible to clean after all the people who sweat all over it. Time to give South some love and attention for those of us who have stuck through the Miramont transition and lost 2 of our best (and cleanest) locations.
Proximity to my condo is great and the club is consistently clean and well maintained. The staff is friendly. There are enough machines and apparatus to ensure availability of the equipment with little or no wait time.
Weight machines could use some repairs/upgrades.
Price, kids club, overall environment
Great classes and instructors. Updated and clean.
The remodeling and amount of work out equipment. The gym is usually pretty clean and the staff is friendly.

The price which includes group classes and the remodeling being done in Lees summit and independence!! Really appreciate the towel service and lockers that don’t require us to bring our own locks!!
I usually come in over lunch. Your front desk personnel have improved immensely the last two/three weeks. They have been much more attentive and friendly. I like that.
You might try to have towels out a little better.
The instructors are excellent.

This is the nicest gym in the downtown Saint Louis area. The staff is friendly, the gym is clean, and the machines are new. I have recommended this gym to friends and many have joined upon my recommendation.
The outdoor pool
Cleanliness - particularly the Midtown location - is not impressive, especially the women’s locker room.
The pool is always dirty . If you swim laps and wear goggles you see alot if stuff . Plus you never know what the temperature of the pool will be. I cancelled my membership today. I had suspended it for a couple months earlier because the pool water was so cold . I have called about 3 times si ce I was a member to ask about when pool is ever cleaned
The classes, instructors, variety of classes…I’d like to suggest a 5:30 weekday Body Pump class…you only have an earlier/later class…additionally,
We need mor 8lb and 10lb weights in studio 1 at South’s location ! I’be been a member for 10 years! Love our health club!
