I go to the Cass street Genesis and it’s clearly a but dated with many broken machines. There is also a city wide mask mandate right now and not only are none of the gym goers wearing them, not a single staff member is either.

Many of your older machines are breaking down more often due to age and wear but the time it takes for them to get back into service is getting ridiculous. I would think you would keep common spare parts on-hand to get them back into service quickly but that doesn’t seem to be the case.
Additionally, lately there are more and more members walking around barefoot or in socks as well as gym bags all over the floor. It just seems like things are sloppy lately.

Equipment constantly broken and in poor shape. Restrooms always filthy. Never paper towels to dry hands in bathroom.
The update to the cub is wonderful...I'm hoping it will be maintained in the outstanding condition it is now.
The restroom floor has appeared filthy since I started going back to the gym last April. The previous owner of the club kept all areas of the facility in much cleaner shape, restrooms, locker room, equipment.
This location has gone steadily down hill since Genesis purchased it from Sky Fitness. The machines are getting old and worn out. Overall cleanliness has deteriorated since last year when it was hyped up for Covid. I haven't gone to the other Tulsa locations so I cannot comment on any but Midtown.
The only positive that keeps me coming are the spin classes, group classes and location. Overall the instructors are great and especially high marks for Jolina, Melinda and Chrystal. If these instructors were to leave, we would be gone and would likely join another health club. There are nicer options in Midtown Tulsa than Genesis and that's a shame. You need to pump some more money into this location and invest in it to get it back to its status as being one of the premier fitness club locations in Tulsa. A status that it once enjoyed. Certainly your ads depict your Kansas City locations as being very nice.
This is the reason for the 1 ranking. By the way, I use to rate it very high so I'm disappointed that I no longer feel comfortable recommending this location for Genesis.
I was disappointed with the sudden ownership change and no communication provided to the members in advance of the change. I literally found out about the change at the desk attempting to swipe in and so did all other members. I would have appreciated some information sharing so that members could decide if Genesis Health was still their gym of choice.
The website is a disaster. It is not mobile phone friendly. It takes too long to find and sign up for a class. Also, there is no way to reserve a lane for open swim.
There should be an app that simplifies this. For such a big company to ignore this critical need is ridiculous. Whoever designed your current website was clearly the lowest bidder.
This Genesis Clubin particular has excellent weight lifting equipment. There’s just about anything you would want. The indoor track is also excellent.
The shower room is cold in general.The shower water is running slow and the water temperature is not stable. It changes from hot to cold and cold to hot randomly itself even when the switch position is in hot(left most). I got a cold after a shower last month. I have to go the steam room to warm up but the steam room was out of order for a long time last month.

There is a mask mandate in Omaha Nebraska at this time the front desk people and other staff are not wearing a mask I’m disappointed that there is not a better cooperation with what the city is asking.
We need to keep everyone safe and keep genesis open for everybody who is a member
Clean… no hand sanitizer in most places. Bathroom countertops are always a mess.

Your gym is slightly expensive for the ones who aren’t into fitness as much, and just want to try it. I think a month to month option for them would work.
This location needs a remodel. I've been a member since before it opened as Aspen. When I signed up, there was literally no sheet rock on the walls. So I've been there since the beginning and it has barely changed. It's disappointing to know that other location's members enjoy a newer facility with nicer equipment. I have since moved to the Liberty location.
I attend the water classes... The instructors, Faye, Barbara, Linda, First name removed, are excellent.
It is taking way too long for the construction to be completed. Members should have been kept updated on the progress. It's challenging putting on clothes over a wet swimsuit then going outside to get into your car in frigid weather.
The fan in the swimming pool needs to be REPLACED with a quiet efficient circulating fan (it's most like beyond repair). It does not work and when it is turned on it is very loud and noisy in the pool - very hard to hear the instructors.
The last time I went to the gym at night, the parking lot lights were not on. This is unsafe and needs to be addressed.

I like Genesis on Sprague a lot. I'm not happy that a representative signed me up for a three year contract when I said month to month as I'd done before. It was all done digitally. I trusted Skip and
never saw the document. My fault. In other areas--since we are suffering through Covid, there were often times when there was only one spray bottle to disinfect and it usually evaporated or absorbed into the paper towels, so not effective. Other gyms had staff disinfecting constantly and had cleaning supplies available that worked. I ended up bringing my own disinfecting wipes. Generally desk staff was friendly and helpful.
