I like the diversity at Genesis. I don’t feel intimidated or judged. The staff is always helpful & friendly!

Trainers and equipment
In the summer it gets really hot and stuffy and there are days where it feels like there is no air flow. This is my only real complaint. It also is very busy after work and sometimes hard to find a machine that fits your muscle group that day. There isn’t much to do about this but possibly consider opening another club within the vicinity to redirect some of the traffic. This club stays pretty consistently busy throughout the day so I think it could be beneficial. Perhaps having membership tiers depending on when you go to the gym could be helpful too to redirect some traffic. Just some thoughts!
Clean pool regularly. Test and maintain equipment on a schedule.
Way too expensive for what I actually utilize. If you don’t want classes, you shouldn’t have to pay for them. Upkeep of facilities is not great, starting to smell in the gym. Also, not enough small (2.5/5/10 lb) plates and not enough 5/10/15 lb bumper plates.
Variety of equipment, environment and friendly staff!
More attention to ensuring sanitization supplies(ie, cleaning spray and towels) are stocked and available to patrons, especially on weekends.
Gym gets a little too busy with the amount of equipment but that's not Genesis fault. The lower area is frequently so hot I feel like I'm going to sweat from standing still.
Eliminate "convenience" fees
My only complaint is there isn't a "bring a guest for free" membership tier. I'm paying more than 4x my old planet fitness premium membership, but I can't bring a guest for more than 7 days on a guest pass, like my brother when he's home from college.
One of the three treadmills on the first floor has been out-of-service for about three months.
The manager at Blackfoot location does not care what her members are asking for when it comes to group classes. She is adding classes that aren’t popular & then that spot is filled & can’t be used for a popular class. She also changes class format when there is a sub. She chooses not to use a sub that can teach the same class . So once again, members are not getting what they want. Ex the class is fight & she fills it with a strong nation sub instead of fight. I have been asking since April for another power class…she keeps pushing it back…first it was May, then August, October, now in 3 months??? I feel she doesn’t care what people ask for…she just does what she wants. Not happy!
Access to an indoor pool and the variety of aquatics classes.

The variety of equipment and machines. The facility is well lit and clean. The front desk staff are friendly.
Good manger and trainer
Never have to wait on a piece of equipment and I like how spread out it is and how all the equipment is spaced.
improve the aesthetics: carpet, flooring, paint, lighting
offer more classes at night, not during 9-5 work hours

Pickleball court
Showers in girls locker room need the shower rods that curve out.
Most of the weight machines are missing the pins for the accessory 5 and 10 pound weights and have never been replaced, requiring searching all over to find a pin if you want to try increasing the weight you are doing by 5 or 10 pound increments..
The TV's on many of the cardio machines do not work properly and some need sound jacks replaced.
One of the recumbent bikes is very noisy.
Options pool leap
Staff are friendly and keeps the gym clean.
Some of the equipment is pretty beat up and could use refreshing / repair.
Because this is a pretty popular gym there are times when its really busy and the gym itself is not that big. So when it is super busy its hard to get and use the machines you want.
We have to reuse cloths to wipe down machines and sometimes the cleaning solution is vinegar. Club is generally dirty.
I go there out of my way just for the pool.
Air conditioning was not working properly this summer. Arc machine and elliptical are old and need to be replaced
