Jeff at the front desk is always welcoming and helpful. He calls you by name and genuinely wants to make your experience a good one.
When I was having some confusion and challenges figuring out the tennis drills and lessons, Daryl Greenstreet met with me in person to answer all my questions.
The club has an old school lift and body build feel with decent equipment and an amazing staff.
The layout is perfect with keeping all the cardio upstairs.
There are no Yoga or Barre classes in BA except for the evenings.
Raquetball leagues.
The club could use some renovations to patch the roof during heavy rain. Just an older space that could use some love and paint. I love how big the gym is and how much equipment is in the space. I can do a new workout every time I go to the gym. The trainers and front desk workers are very friendly too. Very good bargain for what you get in a month.
Lower monthly membership cost.

Great staff. I've been to multiple clubs, even platinum and the clubs are in desperate need of cleaning (indy, downtown and Olathe to name a few) Vivion was terrible as was the equipment. Had no soap not did downtown and it was clear it had been empty a while fun the comments fun other members. Probably why the lock you in for a year so the complaints don't really matter.
The clarity of the pool water has significantly improved relative to earlier this year when Genesis scored 3/10. In addition, most of the solid debris on the bottom of the pool is gone
If Genesis had continued at this level of performance, the current score would be 6-7/10. About two weeks ago, however, the water started to turn murky again. I have not been in attendance this week due to conflicts/deadlines. Hopefully, it has returned to the improved state.
To get to 8/10, the burned out ceiling light bulbs would need to be replaced. Underwater pools would have to be functioning to garner a 10/10.
Towels are getting a little thin.
Incidentally, please drain the spa as soon as it breaks. Siphon and bail if necessary. Stagnant water is just disgusting and will always garner a non-recommendation.

Tidying up of the weights. Making sure db’s are in the correct order. Putting away db’s/weights that have been left out. Finding out of place equipment and returning it to its home (ab mats, foam rollers, etc).
I think the people that work here are really nice and professional. The trainers are great. It’s the equipment. Old and often broken /out of order. It’s different at the East location
I come to Genesis because of tennis. The tennis community itself at Genesis is very good. Here are the things that bother me: 1) The physical condition of the facility, including the ongoing ugly leak in the main area. 2) The general lack of attention to cleanliness 3) The hiccups with billing and keeping records. I have had to follow up more than I should have for wrong billing or questions about why my account was charged. 4) Regarding the latter, I should not be charged a facility fee without knowing about it.

It's perfect for my schedule
Leaking roof. No security lights and cameras.Pothole parking lot. Promises of upgrades and nothing happens. Toilet and urinal messed up over and over again. I spend big $ on a personal trainer for years who I think is the best. I would've left years ago if not for him. Thought we had the opportunity to move to your Mills Civic location with him but apparently your regional manager decided that the Hickman Rd location would suffer if he left. I honestly only stay because he is the best. Make it right by letting him train me at your Mills Civic location because your Hickman Rd location is bad.
We don’t understand why there are seldom large clean towels especially on Sundays. If they are washed each day, they should be clean.
More sanitizing spray bottles around machines and larger towels would be wonderful!
It's big with lots of equipment

It's very expensive if you plan tennis. You have to pay the club fee plus the tennis fees. Other clubs have tennis-specific memberships if you don't make use of the rest of the club. Also, I hear from others that there are often deals on grand slams/rapid fires etc, but I never know any of this. I pay top price for everything. Finally, I receive points about 50% of the time for the aforementioned grand slams/rapid fires I like Genesis, but yikes!
Some members have been confrontational. Maybe post signs about that.
You refuse to do anything regarding the inappropriate conduct that happens in the men’s locker room. I don’t even want to use the restroom in there anymore.
Make sure there is always clean towels at the front desk !
