Get tv working
The gym is dirty. The bathrooms are dirty. I've never seen anyone cleaning equipment when I'm in there. I've not seen any cleaning solution or rags for customers to wipe down their own equipment either.
More towels. Every time I go in the towels are gone. When I ask they go collect them. I decided to bring my own towel. But if I forget, having them available would help.
The staff is extremely helpful. Always polite and helpful when needed. Sometimes they can be hard to find. Watching some trainers though. You can see the ones who are REALLY into it. And the ones that are just working from station to station.
Hours are also hard to work with.. sometimes. I can handleSunday-Friday.. however, Saturdays are probably the worst for me. Closing at 6pm is a pain. Because Saturday is my only real day to get there without an issue besides closing time.
The saunas smell musty. I know the rooms are
Cleaned regularly but what about equipment? Especially in the steam room. Same goes for the pool. The chlorine seems off and I have never seen anyone clean or vacuum it.
The facility is a great place to be. The environment is always inviting. Having this place, and the staff is always a great addition to my day. Minor improvements are always appreciated. And show the consumer comes first.

It’s close to my house, it’s clean, had the equipment I need and the people seem nice.
Would like to see an indoor walking/running track. A boxing or mma class would be awesome too.
Some areas of the gym can make users feel uncomfortable as there is no policy on recording or camera use. There are too many people recording their workouts in the middle of the gym, where other people may not want to be recorded. With this said, the minimum one year contract is unfortunate as there is no way to stop attending the gym without paying the entire year out or simply paying each month to not attend.

Not a bad facility, but fairly small. Some of the machines and facilities could use some upgrades
The club is run down and the staff not great. As far as the interior last time I visited many of the lights were out and the equipment was moved but still old gym equipment not updated. The staff is just there, not really into the job I’d say.
I am currently taking NASM personal training courses. I someday hope to work work in the fitness industry.

Spruce up locker rooms. Shower area non too appealing. Cracked tiles. Would be nice if fresh towels were available in locker rooms. Only 1 hair dryer is not adequate. Also not real wild about all the kids club hours taking up the outdoor pool during the summer. We pay to use that and then you try to make additional money by babysitting? And entertaining them in the pools for hours? Very frustrating.
The LRC location is being renovated but that is no excuse for the poor condition of this place. Locker room is a disgrace. Front staff is friendly but they are the only ones
Great health club. Each location offers something different. Enjoy all locations depending where I am in the metro.
I love the water and Pilates classes.
More features like the west Des Moines location but overall a great gym
Updated equipment for blast. Cleaning the workout room where we do classes. No one mops
Compared to set up and staff compared to the other locations, I would definitely pick a different location. I even prefer having to carry all my belongings at Cass over going to Sprague.
The Cass location is great! Very clean, but wish there were more spray bottles and towels on the top floor to clean equipment.
The Midtown location needs some serious renovations and the equipment is broken a lot… wish they would fix those things. Smells like mildew often.
Hot tubs are out of service a lot.

Membership is pretty expensive plus the annual member fee. No military/veteran discount.
Keep equipment properly repaired. That hot tub fiasco has gone on for years!!!! Tear it out and rebuild it correctly. Quit building and adding new clubs until you figure out how to maintain the ones you are currently running!
My membership enhancement fee came through in September. What am I paying for there? Enhance the membership by fixing the Jacuzzi hot tub. It is the reason I have the membership in the first place.
Maintenance is poor. Two showers in the women's locker room have been out of order for months. We're going on 4 weeks with the hot tub out of order.
Cleaning in the pool area is not good.
Good remodel job… but fix the parking lot repaint the lines
It is spacious, have a lot of equipment and I like the steam sauna. The staff are very nice and friendly.
It seems like there is always things broken (front door, buckets for leaking water, men's steam room seems to be broken every other month, caution tape blocking main stairwell bc of water leaks) and the property needs some updating. When I signed up March 2021, the sales guy said over the next year there would be some renovations.... still waiting for that.
Fix the showers in the men's locker room.
