To begin with, fix the parking lot. It has been a month since someone prepared the holes.
I'm hoping the repairs will be done by a professional, unlike the person with a paintbrush who painted the parking stripes. It is beyond annoying that defective equipment is not repaired in a timely manner.
Broken locker, showers, equipment just to start with, now I have been here for going on 12 years and like the familiarity of things so I don't leave. But this is nothing like it once was, nor is it anything like has been promised year after year. No improvement or upgrades to the facilities unless you want to count the lights. And one more thing get someone to over see the kids handling the towels over the weekend and stop having Philip pick up the slack on Monday morning. Philip is the hardest working person in that building.
Love the 24 hours. Be cool if more of the metro gyms could be also.
It seems the air conditioning has been out the last few times I’ve been there. You could get that fixed.
The physical plant is getting shabby, particularly in the men’s locker room (and I assume the women’s too). It needs a serious tune up both in terms of fixes and cleanliness.
I was absent for three months for health and travel reasons. I was in yesterday for the first time and really noticed the decline in just that short period of time.
The gym is unacceptably hot and the elliptical machines are ancient and they all have something wrong with them. There use to be hand sanitizer everywhere Before Covid but now you can hardly find it. Nothing on the walls just like an institution. The place looks terrible. Dirty fans all over the gym. The only reason I stay is because of the other patrons not because the gym is great.
That it is a fitness club and not a mummify center environment. Lots of different ways to workout and the outdoor pool
well to start with i dont know why you keep sending these because you never change a single thing told to you. Half of your cardio equipment still doesnt work, you still after years have not repaired the roof and it leaks every time it rains and soaks the carpeted hallway to the point they have to block of the path and put massive fans out to dry it. You raised the prices after you took it over and i was also told that a lot of money was going to be put into the place to make it nice, new and etc.. but you cant even fix a leaking roof let alone improve the place.
All the variety of equipment to choose from for my workout. Also, I like the pool, hot tub, and sauna options.
I like the club because it's conveniently located, it's clean and the staff is nice. I'm slightly disappointed the promised new club isn't open yet, though that's understandable due to the pandemic. My real complaints are that Genesis got rid of some of my favorite weight machines, and replaced them with "better" equipment. The new stuff is nice, but some of it doesn't work as well for me personally. My most major complaint is the time of fitness classes. Many people (myself included) work from 8-5 and can't attend daytime classes. I would love to see a group fitness class offered early in the morning (5:30 or 6:00am), or later at night (6:30 or 7:00pm). Aspen had a nice small group training class that I paid extra for. I would love to see that come back, or have the All American Training class offered, and at a time I could attend.
Long story short, there's nothing "bad" about the club, but there's a lot of room for improvement, and that's why I wouldn't whole-heartedly recommend it.
Friendly Workers. However, need better wipers instead of the spray on cleaning stations.
The gym equipment needs an uplift. Everything looks very worn down and the fabric is cracking. Def not in the shape it was when it was one life.
Clean shower drains in womens shower, check several times a day. Some women do extensive grooming apparently. I have reported this with photos at least 3times. ( due to surgery I have not used club for several weeks)
Clean the grout in the womens steam room.
Many classes are canceled. Yoga, power, the clases’ schedule don’t feet with my schedule any more.
No towels. All lockers are jacked up. Get rid of the bar. Go back to 24/7.
Proximity to my work. The climbing wall and bouldering obstacles. The lower class space is big and people can spread out. The indoor track is also very helpful in the winter months. I like the upstairs social area and the mats and stretching/workout space too.
Overall cleanliness is lacking sometimes. Adjustable incline benches are terrible.
Put scheduling for pool online - .uch simpler and ready to implement.
I love the group exercise classes and the instructors. They’re amazing.
The times are sometimes difficult to make due to work obligations and it would be nice (at least for the summer months) to move the 4:30 pm classes to 4:50 pm.
I and some other member have noticed that a lock in the women's locker room has not been fixed. One of the toilets (SE) corner always has water in the stall. The functional training area usually has equipment all over the place, and even occasionally articles of clothing or water bottles can be left for days. There are hand prints all over mirrors. Older equipment can be maintained if its tended to regularly (proper lubrication, etc.). On the upper floor, members also do not typically pick up after themselves. Also, the rules in the gym are often ignored by the members.....slamming and dropping of weights, being shirtless, does not need to happen. Simple common rules and courtesy somehow don't apply at this gym. Sorry, but there is a need for consistency with a cleaning crew, rules, and everyone doing their part to maintain the space.....other gyms do it
Tennis drills and pool classes (aqua exercise)
Updated cable attachments along with more variety to choose from.
Nothing at O street location. A street location mms room is horrible. Old Cheney is taking forever
Club kris taking about updates and cleaning and having a better facility. But nothing happens equipment is bent or broke for months on end, if you inform a employee of it they just say ok and don't even look at it. The men's shower room looks like a science project of black mold
Close to home
Perfect size. The locker rooms have steam, sauna, and hot tub.... very important!
Is very clean .I love this place
Things have been going well at the club as far as I have seen lately. The front desk folks are generally friendly and attentive. The locker room could be cleaner, but that's probably a difficult and on-going challenge.
Not clean…. Especially bathrooms….. crowdwd
I dont mean to be critical but check my account. I dont even got to Boardwalk anymore. Its dirty, it smells, its not healthy - its run down so badly. Equipment is broken. Its not attractive to go to at all. You seriously need to close Boardwalk and Liberty and build a fresh, clean, new gym. I cannot tell you how many people say the exact same thing that I do. I tried it again several weeks back and right when I walked in, solidified why I dont go there. The smell in there was enough to send you right back out the door. A gym is supposed to be inviting, clean, refreshing, a healthy environment that you want to go to but unfortunately I cannot say that for Boardwalk.
Staff and people are great - the gym itself is very disappointing.
