I've been working out 3years at genius gym and I'm happy and healthy
Fix equipment. Only a few of the treadmills are fully functional.
I love it because the staff knows you by name and not just your number. For someone like me who needs the wet area for rehab and recuperation, it's great having a pool, jacuzzi, and both wet and dry saunas. I love the shake bar, they are sinfully delicious and healthy, too. Always someone to help you if needed when using all the machines and equipment out on the floor.
All I really use this gym for is racquetball and you only have two courts that don't seem to be kept maintained. I wish we had more than two courts. I plan to use other services too so I'm giving a score of 7.
I feel the club has not met the high quality standards that it used to represent. Equipment is not kept up, air conditioning is not working properly most the time, fans in studios need repair, the only tubby I do like is that the classes are set at good times and there are good choices available and good instructors.
Love the friendly greeting I get every time I walk into the club
The location is great. It is close to my house and I can walk, bike, drive or take the city bus if I had to. The gym opens at 5 am which is critical for my schedule. Lastly, it hose all the options - cardio machine, weight room, pool, hot tub, sauna, steam room and a variety of classes.
I want to let you know how much we appreciate your investment in our lives. You saved the club from relegation these past few season, and it's been an amazing experience from beginning to end.
Location is Centrally located..
Maintenace on your arc machines for full tv and digital readings. Only one has been working perfectly lately. Handles for one of the weight machines has lost its foam and is more difficult to grip.
Club is too crowded
I wish the cable tv (especially channel 29) or even the internet/Youtube on the ellipticals would work. I have been a member for 16 years and I appreciated that each machine had a tv. Every single time I go now, it says the browsers aren’t updated/supported and halfway through every tv show, the cable quits working. It’s irritating especially since loyal customers pay around $45 a month.
I dont use that one. I go to the Ridgview location in Olathe
At your Independence Mo. location the aerobics room air conditioning was/is out and come to know that it has been out for weeks.
There was a heat advisory in Kansas City the week of June 13 and you guys did not cancel any classes in there and you did not let your members know that the air was out. Someone got very sick from the heat and not knowing that it was out. If the heat index is above 100 and your air is out in the aerobics room there is no way that you should let classes continue!! That is negligence to your members.
The outdoor pool needs a major cleaning. The lounge chairs outside are ripped and look very old.
I really like many of the people there, but I am now swimming at the Fort Collins Club on Prospect instead. Crystal clear indoor and outdoor pools.
I love the fitness classes. The instructors and the people are great!
Need more evening water aerobics! I went to the Wednesday night class at 6:30 and was told next week is the last time. Please add the 10:15 strength weight lifting class on Saturdays back inI miss that too!

The Genesis South club is a dump. Maintenance is neglected. For example, there’s been a light in the men’s shower burned out for 2 months. TV #5 hasn’t worked for a similar time. We’re going on our 2nd summer without AC in Studio 1, and now Studio 2 AC has failed. I can’t tell you how many cardio machines are messed up - clunky worn mechanism and/or bad audio. The parking lot conveys the message before stepping inside. I’m tired of excuses about a coming renovation. The only reason I stay with this club is my wife has classes with friends. Thinking about it, maybe it’s time I go elsewhere.
Facilities, leaky roofs, smelly bathrooms, rusty kettlebells, not enough dumbells and kettlebells, etc....
It’s clean and not overcrowded and offers the machines I prefer.
I really like that the hot tub is back up and running at the Central location.
I'm, charged double what my friends are at other locations or people at the same location. I also have had random charges on my card from genesis. Good gym and steam room, prices vary.

The Genesis Fort Collins South club has unfortunately seen a decline in cleanliness and overall general maintenance over the past few years and especially the past few months. Simple things like replacing light bulbs, equipment repairs, etc. Just not up to the standards we have been used to over the past 15 years. Call me anytime. Name removed Phone number removed
Olathe club by QT- Could always be cleaner. For instance the corners inside the stalls of mens restroom are pretty bad. Very easy fix here, provide a carabiner clip on EVERY machine that needs one and zip tie it securely so it stays there. There is also not enough pins for all the stacks. Should not have to waste time searching for clips or pins. Big clock has been out of order forever. Not always the case, but plese don't blast the music. I've looked and almost everyone is trying to listen to their own ear buds anyway and one can't hear there own music when close to the speakers when they have it blarring. Not sure why they even play music unless it's for the employees. Several times this winter we had big snows and the parking lot was never cleared. On the posttive side, they did remove all of the permantely parked junk cars from the lot.
Like they do at Planet Fitness, enforce people NOT slamming the weights when doing dead lifts etc.
