Half of the showers in the Men's Locker Room are not functioning properly and several won't shut off. Not only is this a sustainability issue but the water is scalding hot and could turn into a claim is someone receives 3rd degree burns.
The construction is ridiculous. I understand it’s a process but when I continually see workers standing around or doing pull-ups on rafters and laughing. It gets pretty discouraging.
There seems to be no support for members and I'm paying the same price I was when I had access to the whole gym but now I have access to about 1/2-3/4. In addition I am paying the yearly fee for improvements.
There are no friendly attitudes and the areas that are usable are dirty and not well maintained.
I sure hope to see some steps in the right direction.

Genesis on Oakmont: lockers malfunctioning on regular basis and obtaining assistance takes repeated calls to front desk.
Would love to see the 8:00 am Monday, Wednesday, Friday Fitlife class back at W. Central. I have to go to another club to get an earlier class which is not ideal. Been a member for over 30 YEARS and this class is my only reason to continue my membership. Also, we used to be able to redeem our G-perks for more practical benefits ie..oil change at Eddy’s Toyota, etc… the current redemption items are not desirable. Thank you for providing me the opportunity to share my thoughts. There are many who would re-instate their memberships if the 8:00 class resumed.

Genesis is not in good repair. Alot of the equipment is shabby. It's not kept up like it was when it was Miramont. If I didn't have a history with Miramont membership and liked the club for its familiarity, I wouldn't have joined Genesis.

The club closest to me has a broken air conditioner. Now I have to go to the Ridgeview location. Doesn't help with higher gas prices too.

There isn’t enough space to list all of the disappointment anymore ….I AM happy to see the parking lot fixed after how many years???? Good grief…. SOMEONE needs to do a THOROUGH walk thru on ALL the cardio machines because at LEAST 1/4 of those do NOT work as they should! Plus they are DIRTY and funky! We have lost so many members which in turn creates the loss of classes, which isn’t the fault of those still trying to attend…..the place is in DESPERATE need of a face-lift!! SOMETHING to get people wanting to become a member…The membership fee they want to charge ONE person is ridiculous with the look of the place, lack of classes and run down equipment (unless you’re retired and can come during the day) …..What ever happened to swim lessons?? I really do love the instructors that are consistent and the classes that I AM able to attend, but this place just ISN’T what it was even 5 yrs ago.
I would recommend to everyone. Great atmosphere to be in.

Some of the equipment and machines are outdated or need repair. Compared to the Merriam, KS location, the club could use some upgrades.
All facilities are clean. Staff is courteous. Machines are maintained well.
Location, group classes, indoor track
Every other time I enter a facility I’m told I’m not a member, been a member for 5yrs uninterrupted, my buddy pass always appears and disappears on its own, I often - meaning several times a week- have to speak to Christian at Cass Loc, and Matt or Scott at Westroads Loc, to have them fix my account! The very next day I walk And have the very same problem smh! My Account has been fixed so many times by so many people over the years I can’t imagine at this point what it takes to fix it?? But plz do FIX IT!!
Have only experienced the “new” club 1time so haven’t made any judgement.
At times the locker room is a mess.
Some do not wipe off their sweat after using the equipment. The trainers showing new members how to use the equipment don’t show them how to wipe down the equipment after each use.
Nothing has changed since the last time I review this. I only tell people I go there because I got grandfathered in with the $10 Aspen price. It's sad to see it. Lately, none of the showers have been cleaned and for like a month they were out of soap (thankfully I bring my own). There is so much water damage from leaking ceilings, the a/c is patchy at best (and I get it, it's a big building, but updates to the system are good), things just break (equipment mostly) and they take an eternity to fix or even get ordered. In the training area there was one a beautiful set of free weights, which have since been swapped for a hodgepodge of free weights (many of which are the same weight or it skips randomly or they are 100lb weights which no one uses). I am just really saddened and disappointed by the amount of disrepair the property is in, it makes claiming Genesis on Hickman as my gym shameful.
The classes and the friendly staff. But the is a need for better people cleaning the bathrooms. And putting toilet paper in the bathrooms. Other than that its a great place.

It's clean and well-run. Staff members are courteous and trainers are quite knowledgeable.
The facility is showing need of maintenance and repair. A number of lockers in the men's locker room have doors that are broken or that otherwise do not work properly.
The men's locker room had a machine to spin out a wet bathing suit after using a pool, but it was removed, presumably because it broke down.
I believe one or more of the shower stalls in the men's locker room has a broken seat or other problem.
Nia! Proximity to my house.
The rap music is unbearable. I can ignore the crass lyrics but not the awful dissonance. Planet Fitness music selection is more varied, the rock songs are not as loud and they have melody, the opposite of dissonance.
The women's wet sauna has been disfunctioning on and off. That is one of your key differentiating factors.
On the positive, The reception staff is always friendly and helpful. You have some equipment Planet Fitness does not have.
