Since the transition from One Life the physical quality of the facility has deteriorated. Not very clean.

The West Central location needs major updating. It is far behind the other Wichita Genesis locations.
Cleanliness and towel availability.
Germs haven't gone away, but when I go to Genesis the availability of cleaning towels or just simple small towels to use along with the cleaning spray are very scarce. I question the cleanliness of the facility.
Great free weight and squat rack selection, pools, hot tub, and friendly staff.
I’ve send in several surveys and responded to several emails..nothing ever seems to get done.

Not many things have changed in the weight room. No etiquette practiced.
We have not been kept updated on several fronts:
replenishing the lost water aerobics teachers
updating the progress made at the Sears location to renovate into a Genesis location
replacement of Madison who was a trainer and led a silver sneaker class
update of the financial tif between Genesis and the city of Wichita
Get everything done, up and running
I have a trainer very polite and does a good job staff in the front desk polite also
Respond to emails from members sent to corporate.Communicate what updates will happen at the club and when. Fix air conditioners for entire building, fix ice dispenser so water doesn’t create slip hazard, replace old equipment especially mats. Seems like information flows only to you and not back to members.
Family atmosphere, friendly, nice pools!
Very friendly staff.
Equipment is in poor shape, especially treadmills and ellipticals. Very few work smoothly as they are supposed to.
Clean and working equipment
More equipment would be helpful like an additional incline barbell setup and a true hack squat.
Also not sure what happened to all the bands with handles & regular bands but would be nice to have those back.
Reducing the number of classes is causing me to consider other health club options.
Things break down and takes long time to fix if at all
Wet area in the locker room desperately needs attention and continues to get worse. The mold and rust are taking over, if time allows, I drive out of my way to go to Olathe so I can avoid the North Overland Park location
More than 1 yoga class -
The Cybex machines at the North Club are what I have been depending on this full century. Please do not take them away.
Machines are in bad shape and frequently unavailable because of need for repair. The ceiling leaks. The carpet is disgusting. No towels are available.
The staff are friendly and the gym is nice and has a lot of good equipment
Love the big towels for showering at the Overland Park location and all of the cardiovascular options available. Keep it up- please provide balanced news on your televisions. Currently at Overland Park they have made it so only Fox News is available! Please help them correct this - their bias is unconscionable, especially if done on purpose! The feeling of members I have talked to is provide all of the news or none of it. I have sent Two emails and left one note for the manager at the Overland Park location and have yet to have provided a response. Thanks
The classes are so fun! I enjoy the Friendliness of the staff and that they are very helpful. The gym is clean and great workout machines.
Huge diversity among the 4 local facilities affords more amenities and also group classes than any one facility could offer.
There are WAY too many people there for the size of the facility. The place is filthy, especially the locker room and wet area. The wet area always has a foul odor and the steam room seems like it hasn't been cleaned either.
What can you do to make things right?
1. Stop selling memberships beyond the capacity of the facility. There is plenty of space upstairs to expand the equipment area to meet the needs of the number of people that are already going there.
2. Arrange some sort of regular/daily cleaning of the locker room area and wet areas.
But to be clear, I would never recommend Genesis to a friend or associate... the last thing we need is more people crowding in there. Waiting for equipment or even a shower or standing room only in the steam room or waiting for someone to get out of the jacuzzi so there is room to get in is not my idea of a comfortable experience.
