Plenty of good equipment in a spacious facility with friendly people.
Quite a number of things come to mind:
- Well equipped
- Clean

The lack of towels and cleaning solution during this visit was disappointing. The front desk person might've apologized for lack of towels...but then she should get off her phone and start folding some. With the uptick in covid numbers in the county, I would like to have better access to clean equipment. Plus, it's hot and sticky outside, which makes it sticky inside, and someone else's sweat is just sometimes gross. So I would like to be able to actually clean at least after I use things.
It's also crazy how there's no ADA automatic doors on the building. It's great that people of all walks of life are coming to the facility, but when folks in wheelchairs or crutches come in and struggle through the door it's frustrating. Of course most people help them with the doors but still.
It's good to see an actual "cleaning crew" in the facility cleaning machines and maybe that's why there's less solution bottles, but I would like to clean up before or after I use equipment.
The entry to The Fort Collins Club is so uninviting I would be embarrassed to bring a friend there. Not a good first impression. Overflowing garbage can several days a week. Neglected weedy flower pots; garbage in parking lot; plantings in parking lot have been neglected for years. Within the club proper the outside area outside the pool desperately needs to blown out and swept. Large windows need to be cleaned regularly (once a month would be nice; once every other month even).
On the positive end of things, the new maintenance man has been trying really hard to keep up the pool and equipment and is doing a great job. It is amazing to note the hot tub has been functional for months! Machines seem to be in great shape. Figure he will quit soon.
Classes are generally good and many of us old timers continue to attend because of the relationships we have with our classmates.
Also really could not recommend a personal trainer to a new person at the club because all the trainers who have been with the club for years seem to have vanished (perhaps a change in their compensation drove them away?)
Snack bar always looks like it needs someone to wipe off the tables and the counters. Folks who work there do not see and/or do not care. Poor if any supervision.
Amazed to hear that Genesis continues to buy small clubs in other states while Fort Collins Club remains the red-haired step child of Genesis in Colorado. Do not know if it is the lack of $ or poor management.
Lots of smiling folks at the front desk whose talents might be channeled to doing outdoor housekeeping. Do you really need 2 people folding towels?
Clean, near me, and affordable.
We went to the pool party last Saturday. Got off work around 5 PM and came directly over. They were already out of the free hot dogs and the kitchen had already closed down! Very disappointing. We were one of several groups that had to order outside food.
Also, the hot tub is down or bordering on warm instead of hot on a regular basis. And, when a machine goes down it stays that way for weeks.
Equipment is in need of updating. Overall gym is rundown. Spin cycles are showing their age. Overall since Genesis purchased the gym the quality of the facility had diminished. The ONLY thing that keeps us coming are the quality of the instructors for Spin classes. They are to notch and committed to providing a superior experience while dealing with inferior facilities and bikes. Specific shout out to Crystal, Jolina, and Mellissa
Updated dumbbells, weight plates are difficult to load and unload so clean inside of plates or clean and grind down barbells and Smith machine post.
The girls that work at the front counter are some of the most dumbest and worthless people. They are no help and can not answer any questions. They are always on there phones, back towards everyone, ignoring people, taking pics of themselves, and sitting on the counter. No job would ever allow their employees to act like that. This is what people see when they first walk in.
Broken equipment, another basketball goal or two. Pickle ball would be nice
Pool water has been cleaned up from the past.
Equipment is old.
Love this place
Fix the stair climber machine. It’s been months at this point. Also need another leg extension machine
Clean, good private coaching, good machines and amenities, friendly staff, great pool!
The club is clean and has the right equipment for my fitness goals.
I love the classes, the gym equipment, the instructors, the towels, and the steam room when it works. I love it when the front desk attendants say hello & goodbye. I believe greeting others is an important life skill & appreciate it so much when I experience that at Genesis, Reasor’s, Chick Fil A, etc. It shows me that the management cares & has instilled this trait on their staff.
I would like to say that for the first time since Sky opened the workout room is too hot. The floors are slippery & dangerous. Please continue looking for a solution. Could a floor fan possibly be placed in the front corner that has no wall mounted fan? Thanks!
Have 'adult only' swim hours in the evening.
1/3 to 1/2 of the TVs never work.
Nearly 1/2 of the time there are no towels to wipe off machinery which means 1/2 of the time machinery is not being wiped.
The women's locker room smells terrible.
Finish the shower project.

I love the track to be able to walk on during the day. Everyone at the gym treats others with respect and nonjudgment. The staff creates an environment where work is key to success. Excellent personal trainers!!!
Significant deferred maintenance.
Maintenance is getting better, but it is still not where it should be for a premium club.

Clean and machines are new
Clean the gymn on a regular basis. Fix the often broken showers in the men's locker room. Try communicating with members in the gym in encouraging ways; which includes smiling and showing concern for them. Tell us if there is a plan for occasional maintenance of broken machines, tiles missing in steam room, toilets that flush on a consisten basis, etc...
