I'm in my late 50's and have been away from cycling for about 25 years. My last ride was a road bike with friction Dura-Ace shifters on the down tube. So, the Chat feature has been a great help to me over my recent transition from the couch to the bike. I chose my bike model after asking newbie questions in a chat. I upgraded components and added accessories that fit my bike and my purpose the first time - chat has saved me time, money, and aggravation. I'm learning basic maintenance by asking for advice in chat. Disk brakes? I didn't even know there was such a thing three months ago! I appreciate the Chat feature the most.

The bike is great. It came well packaged and it was pretty easy to set up. Instructions were easy to follow and I didn’t need assistance to figure them out or put pieces together. I got the seat to the right height and now I have an awesome ride!

Best bike that I’ve ever owned. Customer service is outstanding. They helped me research which tires were best for my 12 year old bike and shipped them to me in Japan without folding them up, unlike other tire manufacturers. The rep also recommended a new seat when I asked him about replacing mine and it’s incredibly comfortable. I ride my bike 8 miles a day and I haven’t been uncomfortable yet.
I bought a Red Barn Refresh bike. The customer service was incredible. There was a minor set up issue with my bike. Trek took full ownership of the issues no questions ansked and went so far as to set up an appointment for me at my local shop to resolve it. They covered all of the costs without any problem. The customer service manager actually called me a few days later to make sure I was happy and that the issue was being resolved to my liking. These guys make a great product and stand behind it like no one else. Even on a used bike.

The Ellicott City location is a much preferred location to the Columbia store on Snowden River if you live in western Howard county.
EC is a calm store, adequately staffed with willing and able staff. I ordered a visor to be clipped onto my helmet. The ability to have the device shipped to the EC store; then have staff easily attach and secure the item was an encouraging experience. I will likely order more bike components and use the ‘ship to store’ option to get it right!
