Took my son there to purchase running shoes for him to take to basic training. He was headed to the marines. The young man that helped us was very informative and we got a great shoe.
Returns on Memorial Day sales--after walking around the block when I got home, the heel-toe drop was too high and hurt my feet and legs already. In fact, I didn't know about drops or what to call the issue I was having until I looked on-line to see why my feet hurt after once around the block, and it explained why I had so much pressure and pain.
If a customer doesn't jog or run at all--as I don't and did tell my sales associate--please consider coaching associates to ramp up and inform and stress more than once during fittings to customers that running shoes are just for running due to the unique body/foot mechanics of running vs. those for use as daily living and walking shoes. And to also stress that ways to convert these to no-drops are either not possible, or if there are ways to provide info about where/how, and how much that might run. And lastly, stress again that all Memorial (or all holiday(?)) sales are final. Both pairs I bought felt so comfortable and supportive in the mini-store walk, and I did not notice the stress/pain then, but only after a walk around my block when I got home.
I spent appx. $200 (a great sale) on excellent quality shoes...for joggers or runners...but not for me. 🙁
