I love the Soundview YMCA. There is a sense of community and feels like a second home. The staff welcomes suggestions and responds to requests. The pools are clean and well maintained. The classes are awesome. The gym is spotless and awesome!!
It is getting too expensive, and I am afraid many people except the retired elite will not be able to participate. I am retired and will p[robably have to quit as much as I like the Y.
Lower your monthly fees.
There are classes for everyone and it’s a community here.
I would like the YMCA to resume taking the silver sneakers Medicare plan. I have to pay now whereas before, when I had renew active, I did not. Silver sneakers is much more widely accepted.
It is a great place to go swimming!
Hours open
The staff is very friendly and always speaks with a nice tone even if they do not know your name. The place stays clean as much as possible. The pool is quite spacious, clean and they try to keep the water, especially in the winter. Love the YMCA and have been a long time member since the one was open in Bridgeport.

The staff is wonderful! I’ve made many friends here from employees to members. Everyone is ready to help and no one judges! Jen, and Melissa are stellar instructors and always go the extra mile for us! The locker room is always clean as Angelica works tirelessly to keep all hygienic for us!

I look forward to the time I spend at the Stratford YMCA . The classes, instructors and everyone at the desk are kind and welcoming. There is so much more that happens there that benefits everyone from children to “ seniors” as well as those in need .
It has a friendly staff and clean environment. The workout room guests are helpful when needed and are not overwhelmingly into weight training.

Your facility is beautiful and the instructors are amazing. I am very sorry that I will not be able to continue to be a part of your community as my new insurance plan is not accepted by you. I do hope that the YMCA powers that be will reconsider adding Silver Sneakers as an accepted plan.
I like the friendly atmosphere of the YMCA. All the people who work there are helpful and do their best to make my visit a success. If I have a question about a certain exercise or if it is appropriate for someone my age etc, the teachers always make great suggestions so that I can achieve my goals.
Accept Silver Sneakers again so a lot of retirees won’t have to continue to pay out of pocket. When I started at the Y, Silver Sneakers was accepted. Why can’t the Y renegotiate with them again. This would greatly help a lot of us retirees.

I LOVE childwatch! My daughter is 2 and loves seeing her friends. She asks everyday, “friends?”. I love knowing she’s having fun and is safe while I get a quick workout in. Without kidwatch I wouldn’t have had an active second pregnancy and probably would have went insane. We have a great time here. It’s a great place for my family to be active together, get out of the house and grow!
