The club needs to be completely rebuilt
I love the YMCA, but it can be cost prohibtive.
Good range of classes for adults and good efforts to educate members on relevant health and social services resources and issues. Plus kind, helpful front desk staff.
Poorly maintained infrastructure apparently because not enough money in operating budget. It takes forever for relatively minor problems to be repaired or broken equipment to be replaced. The water fitness instructors were struggling with the malfunctioning speaker for months last year. Apparently the Y did not have $99 to replace this equipment that was used for all the water fitness classes in the recreation pool. I finally bought the speaker and gave it to the Y.
I have long implored the Y to replace the lockers in women’s locker room. So many are broken, do not close fully, do not lock. The locker room is as much of a social space as the hallways and exercise spaces. Do not let this community-building space deteriorate further. On a positive note, the new shower heads are a welcome improvement. Is there more change to follow soon?

The pool and the classes
Everyone at the Y is so friendly and helpful. I have been coming to MS Yoga there for 20 years, and have gotten so much help and support from the staff as my accessibilty needs have changed. and you have so many great programs!

The staff is always available to help
The programs are excellent. The gym is well-equipped and accessible to users throughout the day. Overall, it’s a clean, well-run facility that meets the needs of a multi-generational family: from summer camps through programs such as “Joints in Motion”, it’s been a great local resource for us.
Location convenient. Members and staff are very friendly
- Move treadmills back away from wall so that the TVs are visible.
- Clean the exercise mats / general gym floor (they are disgusting)

I think that everyone there is amazing my children have bing going there for a bit naw and when I say from activities to teaching one on one if needed the swimming teachers are also amazing my older son you could not get him in the water I was told by them give it by the end of the summer he will be swimming and they was correct he is swimming and naw u can’t get him out the pool so I would recommend anyone there I have and will continue to do so I was blessed and will alway be thankful to the ymca staff for bringing joy to my children but also bring me peace that they will always be safe in There hands my children love the staff and they are happy I believe that’s the key ! Great job to all of them blessings always
Wonderful staff, maintained equipment, all classes I have attended are run by qualified instructors, two swim pools, clean changing rooms and cleanliness of entire facility and it is all in my own backyard,
I had a membership in Franklin, Massachusetts and transferred to Soundview when I moved to Connecticut. Good facility and instructors..
Pools and facility is clean, staff is very friendly and helpful.
I would like the team is very kind and respectuf and the building is very clean
Weight room is still too small. A bigger space that could accommodate more people and a turf area would be a great addition. Also, there should be heavier kettlebells and a belt thst you can attach weight to.
Lastly, indoor basketball courts would be a great addition.
The other members are positive, encouraging and friendly. The facility is clean, has all the gym equipment you would need and offers fun snd challenging group classes. The group classes instructors are quality and caring.

Allow more swim lanes open in both pools instead of closing the whole pool for classes. Very frustrating that I cannot come at a certain time because whole pool is closed for classes.
Best part of my morning. Swimming classes in early moaning will start anyone's day off. Everyone there is friendly and know you your on a first name basis.
More variety of classes. Zumba Gold more then 1 time a week would be nice.

Larger pool; improved locker room with more than one urinal and one stall; facility looks tired and could use a facelift.
