I have answered this before as a ten, but why are we “recommending” main street? I mean, there are kinda limited options. You all seem to do a fine job, but I don’t see a scenario where I recommend you??
Reduce fee amounts

Mainstreet promotes Amazon things, gift cards, fire TVs etc. I want no part of that.
I do not appreciate automatically being charged for RPAC contributions and having to take extra steps to remove it from the account. I hate being forced into contributing it makes the cause less worthy. I may have called in a handful of times and never have I been received with a positive, cheerful greeting. Mainstreet, in my opinion, is entitled and makes me feel like I work for them and I'm a subordinate. Maybe its due to the fact that I don't produce much in the real estate world, or I don't contribute to RPAC but I pay my dues just like everyone else, it would be nice to be treated that way.
Lots of options. Easy to navigate website. Good amount of communication. Not too many emails but enough to keep me aware of what is going on.

Fees are high for what I feel I get. Other than access to the MLS I'm not sure what the other benefits are? There are few, if any events or classes in my area. Many times I feel like Realtor.com is easier to use than the MLS. Remine is not user friendly.

Very good at communication and answering questions!
Many agents have complained about Remine's searching ability and nothing has been done. The private listing network is the wild west and appx. square footage is never explained by the agent. MRED doesn't care about the quality of information that is in their system.

As an appraiser I am thoroughly disappointed with the inaccurate and false information realtors enter. They have no liability and they don’t care. I anonymously send in requests to change inaccurate info and it is never addressed.
Expensive. Fees keep going up. New bi-annual fees structure is confusing.

I think it’s horrible that sites like Zillow, Redfin, etc has access To “OUR” mls. We had to pass exams and pay yearly dues in order to have the MLS as our tool.
Buyers and sellers now are not going to realtors as experts but rather just scrolling through the mentioned sites and finding homes on their own, not mention the ridiculous “Zestimates” and “Redfin Estimates” that are so out there that it makes clients uncomfortable when we do an actual CMA.
I believe zillow is being sued and going bankrupt with their uneducated opinions on the value of real estate in local markets.
Not to mention when I set clients up on an mls search they tell me they would rather use Zillow,Realtor, Redfin because the app is easier for them to view and they can set their own parameters
Why did we get state and nationally tested? Why am I paying such high yearly dues to access the mls when everyone and anyone can pull up the same listings on their own.
I believe mainstreet and other companies are profiting from selling the mls listings to these companies so non agents can use it, we don’t see any of that money, in fact we pay to use it and you sell it so anyone can view properties and schedule their own appointments.
Something needs to be done or the Real Estate profession as we know it will fail to exist.
I really hope somebody got a chance to see this, I am not the only who feels this way and have emailed mainstreet personally about this matter.
I think we should be payed by Zillow
Realtor etc for using our listings and photos to draw clients to their app which they profit from, then on top of it in real tiny print way down on the screen it will show that I am the listing agent but not before their is a information box to fill out to reach out to whichever agent those companies choose to take the lead. So Instead of a possible dual agent or even getting the lead myself since they came to my listing, Redfin Zillow, realtor steer those leads to other agents and it’s not righ!
We pay, had to pass exams and pay large dues in order to access real estate info, why should we pay what we do if the information is just given for free and we’re not even featured on our listing.
It is very wrong and it needs to be changed.
