If we could be more proactive within the municipalities when it comes to certain restrictions on rentals to our landlord clients thus these rental restrictions & extra fees are just too much in my opinion and the municipalities shall have no control what the landlord will decide to do with his/her unit. I do not find it o.k. to register the unit as vacant (pay fee) or pay the rental fee & have it inspected when owning a rental unit thus the owner already pays higher real estate taxes for not having the unit as the primary residence. I understand the municipalities are trying to collect extra money but it is simply wrong thus this is for nothing - they will not help out the landlords if they run into issues with the tenants - they make the landlords sit for 4 hours plus at informational meeting that is just so inconvenient and in my opinion waste fo everybody's time...many times they require unnecessary repairs/improvements that the landlord would not be planning on and in my opinion they shall not be dictating the landlord how much he/she can charge for the security deposit etc. Each unit is unique in its own way so stating that no more than 1 1/2 security deposit can be required from the tenant in my opinion is wrong. The landlord should have right to ask for whatever security deposit they like - question is whether they will find the tenant to post but it shall not be on the municipality. For example if a single woman used to live in 1 bedroom condominium and then got two children so the condominium is too small for her and her two children - she leaves the apartment vacant - or let her family or close friend use it or rents it out to cover the costs thus perhaps she cannot sell thus her mortgage amount is higher than what she owes and she has no money to bring to the table why she has to do the rental inspection or register as vacant and pay the fee either way. This is just too much and these restrictions should be fought with the municipalities. I had a case where the municipality inspector went thru the unit during COVID-19 pandemic - no mask (scarf cover only...I do not find that professional at all) - no gloves - would not take his shoes off - questioning no carbon monoxide being presented in 600 sqf condo where in fact there was a combo smoke/carbon monoxide detector in the bedroom within 5 feet...he stated that next time carbon monoxide detector should have been in the kitchen (which is 5 feet from the one there). I feel that if the municipality wants to dictate the conditions etc. they shall build their own apartment building/homes and rent it on their own where they can dictate their own requirements and they shall not take over somebody's else's assets that they do not own. It is getting too much in my opinion - this should not be allowed.

I think Mainstreet offers great tools and services that is easy to navigate. They think of the Realtor when they consider benefits to offer.

Work with IAR and NAR to get us “essential workers” who are constantly meeting with strangers in houses vaccinated faster.

lower your dues, Just want MLS access, no association with realtor or the association of realtors. The mls is the same as it was 12 years ago, nothing new that has been added is worth the time or money. Lower costs, less employees, just a database is all that an agent needs. the rest is junk. also stop auto adding RPAC donations to renewals.

I don't use your service very much as I do mostly rental management of my own properties. However when ever I need your services it is complicated, like at one point I wanted to have access to the sentrilock system and that was going to be very expensive. AND twice a year I have to call your office to figure out how to not pay the RPAC fee. the way you guys work that is very deceptive, almost criminal, in the way it is presented.

I'm sure that you don't think either of these are a problem but they are the things that make your organization unattractive as a partner.
