I came in to get some advice on my '99 Cannondale and Mike was incredibly patient, thoughtful and helpful in his assessment and recommendations. He had to get creative to come up with a solution to convert the bike to a 1x and make the bike a little more user friendly so we can use the bike for a NICA team backup bike.
On top of that, I had intended to test ride a Supercaliber just to see if fit was right before I ordered a 9.6 from a shop in Madison. Based on the $8500 price tag of the bike I could easily see a salesperson rolling their eyes at me wanting to rip around the parking lot on that bike. I received quite the opposite. Instead of an eye roll I got an enthusiastic rundown of the features of the 9.8 and after a quick install of some pedals I mounted up on the sweetest thing on two wheels I've ever had the privilege of riding. Long story longer, after some deliberation (and a genuine sense of fear of being kicked out of my house upon my wife seeing the receipt) I decided to upgrade from the vintage CAAD5 to a sick Supercal 9.8.
I am happy to have found Freewheel and your amazing staff of mechanics and salespeople. My bank account is admittedly a bit more barren today because of this new relationship, but I've never been more excited to hit the trails and try out my new bike. Thanks guys!
