My Wife and I are new to cycling, she's using an old Schwinn and she bought me a bike online so we could ride together. We had been to most of the shops in town while I was upgrading to things like a new seat, wider handlebars etc. When I had a blowout that bent the front rim beyond repair after converting to tubeless tires, a friend suggested Idaho Mountain Touring, the one on Cherry lane is close to where we live so off we went.
From the moment we walked in, we knew we had found right place. Brian took the time to help me understand the options, showed me what I would need to replace the rims on my bike, going as far as to show me how to remove the gears from the old rims (and actually loosening the cassette for me), and offering a ton of advice on how to setup the new rims. When I found that I needed a spacer for the gears, he found one at the Downtown store, and they where just as helpful in answering questions and offering advice.
When I finally got everything together I could not get the front tire to seal correctly, we drove over the shop and one of the mechanics showed me what I did wrong, and then fixed it and sent us on our way.
My wife was so impressed that she decided to replace her old Schwinn with a new Trek bike, Daniel walked her through the process, helped her understand the options, and they ultimately settled on a new Trek Mountain Bike.
I don't know the name of the young man who fixed my front tire, but everyone has been helpful and gone our of their way to offer sage advice. I don't see customer service like that anymore, and you have made customers for life out of my wife and I.

Great customer service
Sales associate very knowledgable and friendly. Inventory was low but he found most of what i needed. He made sure i knew of the free tuneups and how that worked. Very helpful to this senior citizen. The young gal that helped me the first day was equally impressive. Seems to be a quality company that trains their staff to understand the concept of customer first.
Your service was professional, proficient, and friendly. When other bike stores were out of items, and short on service, you always were equipped, and ready to help.

After going to multiple stores to find a mountain bike, I was so relieved to see bikes at IMT! Bill was very knowledgeable and helped me find the PERFECT bike for me! I purchased the Roscoe 7 and love it! In 5 days, I’ve ridden three times and it hasn’t disappointed. The staff are helpful and knowledgeable and the gear and bikes are amazing. I also appreciate the healthy and safety precautions this store is taking during this time. This is now my go to shop for anything bike related!
Greetings from CA. After much internet searching, I finally discovered the gem Idaho Mountain Touring in Boise, ID.. I wanted an e-bike to get me where my knee was keeping me from going. I've never ridden one, was purchasing online and feeling out of my depth. Marc quickly and patiently answered every question either via text, email or phone; I had too many questions to count. I never once felt pushed to buy. And, I feel certain Marc will patiently answer my numerous questions once the bike arrives.
