While I went into the store to purchase riding shorts, gloves and a helmet (Pearl Izumi, Trek) I also was looking for a "touring" shoe. These were not offered, but the entire experience remained great.
It is especially appreciated that a manager such as Daniel was there. Daniel is an asset to Helen's Cycles. Just a pleasant guy all around, and sincerely so.
It was nice to see Helen's Cycles' Manhattan Beach store doing business after being in that location for so many years. I used to frequent the store when I was an active mountain biker.

Staff is friendly, attentive and professional….and good at what they do in the service department.
Always someone to help and the staff is large enough where you can get a few people working your problem. They love bikes and know so much as they do high volume on all levels of bikes.

Service was accommodating, explained everything, and quick to resolve the issue. Reasonable pricing is also a good factor.
Fair service
I’ve been a Helen’s customer since 1989. Always a great selection of bikes, accessories and parts. The MOST incredible customer service (Cameron, Monty) and the most skilled bike mechanics in town. I have purchased numerous bikes, helmets and shoes over the years for myself and my family. We love Helen’s Bikes!

Great attentive service
I’ve had BAD experiences with the service department. Everyone is friendly, but each time I’ve brought in my Caledonia I’ve had to bring it back to get the requested service completed. I’ll be in with it again when you open Tuesday to get the service I paid for completed on my R shifter (still not working) and new chain/cassette. Tensions are off so the chain slips off big ring under any significant torque, causing me to slam my knee into the drops multiple times. Hoping this time I bring it in the service department is able to accomplish what I paid them to address.
I ordered a bike shipped to me. It came when promised and as described. Thanks for trading out the stem to the proper length. Most shops won't do that any more, preferring to charge me extra. The experience I had was how shops should be. THANKS! and I love the bike.

Love the service at Helens; and have for the past 30+ years. Everyone who works there is awesome and helpful
adam set me up with my first spd pedals/shoes (i'm in my 50s). he made it painless and was my shoe salesman, technical consultant and bike pedal mechanic. PLUS, he literally grabbed me and saved me from falling over in the parking lot and avoided rolling his eyes. i rode the same day and increased all my times on my regular 50-mile ride and love clipless pedals now and it's thanks to helen's and good eggs like adam.
I love the service and everyone is very friendly. However, I miss the merchandise assortment that you had before Covid.
