Personalized service, decades of bicycle knowledge, sales, maintenance and service of Trek bikes. I’ve known and patronized this family owned Peninsula bike shop since the mid 1980’s. Their bike maintenance and repair shop has been second to none for as long as I’ve known them. They take pride in all they do.
Dropped in by the shop because of the large inventory of size small frames and the gearing that caters to the hilly terrain on the Bay Area. I was working with Becky and she was very knowledgeable and polite. She even offered to swap out components to my preferred choices. I will be going back to this shop despite the longer drive.

I had a part that broke on my wife’s bike which was less than a year old and they fixed it at no cost so they also stand by what they sale and do the right thing for their customers. I brought my e-bike for repairs at the shop where purchased. The bike was not repaired, so I brought it in to Chain Reaction where I received prompt, excellent service. This is my go-to bike shop from now on.

We love coming to see Mike and his son Kevin, as we have done for many years. They are kind, efficient and friendly. Recently we expected to wait a week for my bike’s repairs and yet it was available the next day!
They have an incredible collection of bikes and accessories, especially now where they have expanded into their beautiful new space. We’d never consider taking our bikes anywhere else, though there are many bike shops near where we live in Palo Alto.

This is a family owned and run business. Staff is very friendly.
There’s only one person handling service, repair, upgrade. He is an expert. We have 6 different bikes and they really know what they are doing there.
Before we started going to them ( which is 10 mile drive from Palo Alto), we used to bring our bikes to REI and other bike stores in Palo Alto for run of the mill bike issues. We end up bringing the bikes back to fix simple issues and adjustments.
Now we don’t mind driving to Chain Reaction because they always resolve or issues.
Burley Kazoo was given to us assembled, without any discussion about assembling, or an offer to assemble it. We would have been better off ordering online!
