Took a drive up to see the team as new tyres were required for my push-iron, didn’t fancy ordering online and wanted to ask advice at the same time.
The shop had a clean, well lit feel even though it’s packed with lots of shiny stuff to look at.
I had no idea about different types of tyre and after a friendly chat with Alex (sound bloke!) he found me exactly what I needed. Didn’t try and hard sell the most expensive ones on the shelf but listened to what I was saying and got me exactly what I needed. They had to be ordered in but that was not a problem as I respected his professionalism and was more than happy to drive back up to collect and I picked up another couple of bits whilst in store. I will return to this store in future for any spare or repairs.

Just received back my two Procal9 after enhanced service on both. Went out riding and they are both handling as good as new and delivered on time as usual. Well done Big Bear and all the staff at Pickering.
Oliver was very helpful and understanding of our needs. Whilst upon walking into the shop I felt that Big Bear Bikes would not be able to cater for our needs, the staff and the owner discussed our budget and they did in fact supply two e bikes within budget.
The service team are always so obliging and helpful freely giving advice and ideas on how to solve problems.
Got what we wanted as there was not a member of sales team available a technician from work shop attended to us , he was unbelievably helpful to our needs as it was very late in day we could not take the bike then but it was ready 9.30 the next day and staff were so polite and attentive a different experience to the shop we went to in thirsk would recommend
Oliver listened to what my requests were, often this is rare in sales roles due to personal biases.
He went out of his way to make sure I had a bike that fit my budget and limited experience.
Ultimately its a smart move, because if I enjoy mountain biking like I do road biking, I shall end up coming back to upgrade.
Oliver also did what he said, when he said he would. Great service, knowledge and expertise.

A great range of bikes and accessories plus a well informed and knowledgeable staff team make for a good experience when visiting Big Bear. Recent visit was for a bike service and wasn’t disappointed with how that went at all. Technician was supportive throughout and work carried out to a high standard.
