Everyone was super nice and very helpful! Noah specifically helped me out and he gave great recs!
I brought my bike in for a tuneup during a busy period and got it back within three days. Great job on the tuneup. I did the 100 mile route in the NYC Century a couple days later and the bike handled perfectly. The mechanic did a great jiob and the customer service reps were friendly and helpful. Very happy with the work at Bicycle Habitat.
Always reliable, honest, helpful. From family rides to high end carbon builds - these guys know bikes and want to get you back in the saddle.
Great service as always
Honesty, thoroughness, knowledgeability, care
JP knows so much about Speedplay pedals! And Adam also provided me with excellent service. The vibes continue to very good at Bicycle Habitat.
Repair was fast and comprehensive, and the technician walked me through options and patiently explained various choices. A+ service.
Friendly staff and helpful
coordinate the 2 shops...
friendly and knowledgable staff
The staff are helpful and dedicated. It makes a difference. You are hiring right.
The team was very helpful and professional, however I was initially quoted the wrong price for a part, and only after installing it and approaching check-out, the staff notified me that they made a mistake and the cost of the part was double. I was super disappointed, but stuck in this situation as I didn't want to leave the shop with a non-functioning bike, so I ended up paying more than anticipated and quoted due to a mistake that wasn't mine.
Very clear explanation and give options on how to repair and bicycle was fixed on promised on time and works great. Also stated that because bicycle was bought in their store 8 years ago, had a free complementary maintenance.
Everybody is so nice, friendly and flexible, I really appreciate their help for over 15 years!! The lady who had been there for long time recognizes me even on the phone! Also when I had a problem sending my bike to Japan, they gave me great advice which saved my life, put in the box on the very last day, recommended affordable taxi company (which saved $40 for the next day to the airport) , catching the taxi and helped me putting it in the taxi! You guys are the Best!! Thank you so much for your hospitality and great support!!

fast, effective, reasonably priced.
efficient
Really nonweldable & caring and did not push me to buy a more expensive helmet.
Friendly, expert service, great value for money, supported by convenient email/text notification when service is complete.
Love all the latest accessories and products available to buy, that urban cyclists need.
I met with Justine at Bicycle Habitat Chelsea for a bike fitting. She was knowledgeable, friendly and professional. I would not hesitate to recommend her or the store for any bike related issue!
Fast, quality service at a reasonable price.
The staff is very informed and knowledgeable. Great products available.
Helpful, friendly, staff and a large selection of bikes for purchase or rental. We will definitely recommend this place to friends & neighbors!
my favorite bike store, best service done quickly and at great prices. Great selection of bikes and gear.
Service was very friendly and the rental bike was high-quality. Service was also very responsive from the staff and they answered all of my questions quickly. They are very knowledgeable.
I believe your bike trade in policy is limiting and unfair. I have traded in multiple bikes expecting to use the credit broadly, only to find out it’s restricted. This has lead to my negative experience and loss of trust. Transparent and flexible policies tend to foster better customer relationships, and Bicycle Habitat falls short.
Other customers who trade in a bike may want to switch to a different mode of transportation—like a scooter—or invest in safety gear like helmets. By limiting credit to bikes only, the store undermines the flexibility of the credit and alienates customers like myself who are trying to adapt our needs.
Helmets are essential for safe riding. If a customer is upgrading or changing their bike, they may also need a new helmet. Not allowing credit to be used for helmets could be seen as disregarding safety priorities, which is especially concerning for a business in the cycling industry.
Scooters are increasingly popular in urban areas like Brooklyn, especially among people who may not be able to ride bikes due to physical limitations or lifestyle needs. Excluding scooters from credit use limits accessibility and is discriminatory against alternative mobility options.
Encouraging trade-ins is a great step toward sustainability. But restricting the credit to bikes only discourages broader participation in eco-friendly transportation options like scooters, which also contribute to reducing carbon footprints.
Great staff (both sales and mechanics) and very good selection and quality of products sold.
We rented four bikes for the NYC Century. Everyone at Bicycle Habitat was very friendly and helpful, especially Justine. They installed our pedals and adjusted our seats. They even stayed open past closing hours so we could return our bikes at the end of the ride. Highly recommend!
Fantastic in every particular
I rented a bike from BH and the service and attention I received was top notch. I highly recommend BH for anyone needing bicycle service.

Matt, the owner and Steve the salesman both assisted me. They don’t over sell you or pressure you, they want to sell you a bike that’s a right fit for you. I’ve been a customer for over 30 years and wouldn’t go anywhere else.
Thank you also to Charlie and the lovely lady who rings you up 😃
