Super friendly and knowledgeable staff, quick repairs, decent prices
The service was quick and friendly and affordable.
Bicycle Habitat did a superb job tuning up my road cycle after 5+ years of NYC road abuse I put it through. My bike looks and rides like its new! rolls like butter!
Needed some tires replaced, including a tubeless one, which can be a PITA. They said they'd do it in an hour, and in fact did it in 30 minutes, and at a very reasonable price. I appreciate underpromising and overdelivering.
Great service from your mechanics and salespeople!
Everyone in the shop is really friendly, knowledgeable and into bikes! JP talked me through what need to be done to revive my bike which had been in storage for over five years, and they did a bang up job, really quickly and at a good price. Excellent all round.
Good selection, great staff who give it to you straight but no attitude. Excellent repairs, best I’ve experienced in Manhattan.
really chill nice friendly bike smart people
a little disappointed b/c when I bought my new bike I was told I could leave it for a night oir two
to get the handlebars moved up a bit so I rode it from your Brooklyn store to your Manhattan store to drop it off to get the handlebars raised and I was told they can't be raised up and I need to buy parts and pay labor to do so
When I called to place my order, I spoke with Justine, and she gave me the price of the bike and told me that all accessories are 10% off. She also said "we can play with the final number when you pick up the bike." I did not ask for any discounts, nor did I expect any. However, after she said that "we can play with the final number", I then expected some kind of discount when I picked up the bike.
But when I picked up the bike, she told me there were no additional discounts and that typically there is a charge for assembling the bike. I had never heard of a bike shop charging a customer to assemble a purchased bike, and I assumed this was more BS like the comment that "we can play with the final number".
I was going to buy the bike even without any discounts, but please don't lead me to believe you are going to offer an additional discount and then not offer it. It breaks trust and leads to an unpleasant buying experience.
Staff is unbelievably helpful. I have already recommended you to several friends of mine.
Josh was really nice
The staff are super helpful and knowledgeable
Everyone was great.
Overall was good, but your bike stand scratched my seat post. Could’ve let me know when I picked it up
Great shop, great staff
Knowledgeable and friendly
Friendly, helpful and knowledgeable staff! Had a bike paid for and ready for pickup in an hour on a Sunday afternoon.
Helpful!
Very helpful and knowledgeable staff - both in the shop and the store. Did exactly what I needed, didn't push extra product or more expensive stuff - you all are my go-to!!
Good service, they help you know what you need best. Thank you.
The staff member I met was very friendly and helpful. I was in and out in probably under 15 minutes.
I’m extremely disappointed with the dishonest attempt to upsell me during my recent visit. I was told my chain and crankset were extremely worn out and needed immediate replacement. After a second opinion and a detailed inspection, I confirmed that both components are in perfectly fine condition. This felt like a clear attempt to overcharge someone who may not know better. It’s frustrating and unacceptable — I trusted your shop for professional advice, not pressure tactics. You’ve lost my trust.
The Team at Bicycle Habitat did an excellent job on my annual tun up. My bike is again running clean and smooth on my daily commute to work.
Very attentive staff, had 3 different people ask if I needed help/was being helped.
Did a great job, no real complaints. Took a few minutes to be helped the first time I came in.
Great neighborhood bike shop. They have everything. They can do everything. Bought my daughter’s bike there. Bought my wife’s bike there. And finally, bought my new bike there.
The staff is very knowledgeable, friendly and patient
Great service -- friendly and knowledgeable!
i've had QA problems with repairs in the past. i brought a bike in for repair because the shifting was uneven. when it was returned to me, the problem wasn't solved. the repair person diagnosed it correctly the second time, requiring a new wheel. when the bike was returned to me, there was no nut or cap on the valve. I tried to ride it but the tire kept deflating. so, i had to return for the third time. ugh.
PS. The repair from last week was executed well.

I rarely use their services. This time, I came in for a bicycle basket and walked out with one. However, the basket did not really fit the style of the bicycle. The sales person rang me up but was not that helpful... she should have realized that the basket wasn't a good fit!
