you guys did not fix my bike at all!!! I was charged 30 dollars and my bike is worse then it was when I brought it:( not very awesome

Your service is always quick, efficient and friendly and you go the extra mile to fix any small things as needed - such as a loose lock holder, without extra charge. So thank you for that. I have been a customer for around 15 years in Manhattan and Brooklyn and I appreciate the TA discount.

Kate is great! She didn't have a Giro helmet in my wife's size, so she biked (!) to the other store to get it herself. I needed some lubrication for my bike chain and rather than send me next door, she did it herself. My wife loves her new helmet and also a new bicycle seat that Kate helped her select.

I shopped around and visited a lot of shops and there was something to like about each, but Bicycle Habitat won me over because above the other shops, they ASKED for my business.
1. Val at 5AV shop helped me try a bunch of bikes and emailed the two that I like best - this was smart, and helpful!
2. David at Chelsea was friendly and helpful in setting up a test ride of my Specialized Sirrus. No one made me feel bad when I said I needed to revisit a Cannonade at a different shop before deciding. David took my order and had accessories added so I could pick up same day!
3. Justine is a customer service and sales wizard. She was so genuine and down to earth. I feel like of all of the shops that I visited she let me know that I was valued. She was intuitive and relatable and inspired trust.
4. I loved that I was offered 10% off and a post purchase tune up. No one else did this.
5. In other shops I felt like they were busy servicing bikes and that bikes sales were not so important, like they could care less if I bought a bike or not.
6. Bicycle Habitat is the only shop that knew how to help me break through my indecisiveness.
7. The bike tech that tuned my bike before leaving was very nice and answered my questions.

The woman at the register, came out and installed my new bike lock and was super helpful. It was my first time there and I was feeling very welcome. Heard about you from the century race coming up in September, and thinking about renting a bike. Highly recommended.
Untrustworthy business practices
I though a $45 cost for a safety check was very high: no parts were replaced and very little was done or explained to me.
Chadd was great! So helpful! He found a bike in my price point too. And BH gives free tune ups for breaks and gears. Great deal!
