My bike is like a family member. I have invested so much in it over the past eight years, and I am very particular about who gets to interact with it, let alone service it or install something. I bought it in Brussels, and the shop that sold me the bike worked on it for three years. I moved to Switzerland, and it took me a while to find a shop there, but I finally found someone I trusted to service the bike. When I moved back home to the US, settling on a shop took almost three years, but I'm sure I found the spot.
It makes a difference that when I walk in, someone welcomes me by name, and it's also paramount that I don't feel like I am being raked over the coals for a simple ask. This is my new shop. These are my people.
