I have used Zero Rez many times and have received great service on all previous occasions. However, this time was very different. I attribute this strictly to the representative and nothing else. He was very arrogant and unfortunately, this came across in a very offputting way. First, he showed up 20 minutes prior to the scheduled window which caused me to have to rearrange my work schedule. When I mentioned this, he said "well, I can always leave". Then after he came in and I asked him about the length of time it would take to complete the job, he said "I'll be in and out of here in less than 10 minutes." When I said that seemed very fast and that I had never had anyone complete the entire job from start to finish in 10 minutes before, he said, "well, you haven't had me before." Well, the total time was more than 10 minutes but it was fast. It makes me question whether or not he actually cleaned the carpets as I did not stand over him and watch. When he told me he was finished, I had to get towels to clean up pools of water left on my wood floor leading into the bedrooms he had cleaned. He just stood there and watched me clean it up which I also thought was a bit rude; I would have thought he would have said something like, oh, let me get that. Additionally, the tracks of dirt he left throughout the house on the wood floors from his wet shoes and from the hose, made a huge mess of which I was of course left to clean up. Overall, my rating for this time around is very low. But again I chock it all up to this particular representative since I've never had that type of service in the past.

Cleaning services and products were above excellence.

The carpet looks terrible now....much worse than before he came. We have big stripes of clean carpet where he took his time, then rows of different levels of dirty carpet where he just wished over it. It's a mess now. First name removedPhone number removed426

This last service was way better than the last time Zerorez cleaned our carpets and floors. Last time, the tech was so much more focused on upselling my husband on additional services that he really did not clean the carpets well and the additional services were performed poorly. This time, the tech did an outstanding job and went above and beyond what I expected him to do.

Effective and efficient

1. The carpet was very wet when technician left. So wet it soaked my socks when I stepped on the carpet to pay him. When I mentioned it, he said to turn the HVAC to 70 degrees to aid in drying. 24 hours later carpet was still wet. If the water is supposed to attract the dirt, and the water was left on the carpet, then it seems the dirt is still there.
2. I watched the technician use the wand. He was going so fast, it does not seem possible the wand could have picked up the water/dirt in the carpet. The great advantage of professional carpet cleaners has historically been the amount of suction the larger motor in the van can deliver (when compared to do it yourself cleaning systems). But to apply the suction, the wand needs time to work and pull cleaner and debris from carpet... at least that was my understanding.
3. I thoroughly vacuumed all carpets before technician arrived. It took me over 2 hours to vacuum 5 rooms, stairs and walk in closet. Technician took just over an hour to clean. I appreciate efficiency, but also wanted the carpets deep cleaned. I do not feel the carpets were well cleaned because there was no extra attention given to carpets under the table or in the family room - areas I mentioned would be especially dirty due to young grandchildren and our pet. And because the carpets were so wet when he was finished.
4. The website states technician will wear foot coverings. He did not.
5. I vacuumed the carpets after they were dry and pulled a notable amount of sand, dirt, dog hair out of the carpets. That was disappointing because I expected a deep clean to remove these items from base of carpet fibers. No one had walked on the carpets between the shampoo and my vacuuming. This was especially disappointing because I’ve had Stanley steamer clean before and I’m sorry to say I had better results then.
6. I was asked to sign his phone - thought it was for the credit card. Then he told me it was my sign off on an inspection everything was completed. I did not walk through and inspect because the carpets were so wet, I didn’t want to step on them. I’m not sure what the purpose of the sign off was-and could not read it on the small screen.

This was my first time to use Zerorez, and sadly it was just a disappointing experience.
