Update equipment, get repairs done quicker, have cleaning staff, provide pre moistened wipes, replace broken items, make attending the pool an easier process with less limitations, clean and update mens lockers/bathrooms, repair mens sauna room- benches need repaired and room needs cleaned.

Tennis courts need updated badly outside. Online sign up for courts and drills. Would luv to see genesis arrive into the 21st century. Coaches and Pros are absolutely fantastic!

Since taking over from sky fitness it’s very apparent no money has been invested in the facility. Equipment pads are cracked and ripped, a tv was taken down but never replaced, the acs are hardly ever running, the towel shelves are always low, the bottle filler fountain doesn’t have cold or even cool water, lockers are broken and missing locks, I’ve seen papers in treadmill cup holders stay there for over a week. Equipment is just dirty and with sweat spots or water spots daily. Why am I paying over $50 a month when I can get the same service or better from planet fitness for $10 a month?

At least four of the showers in the men’s locker room are missing shower heads and areas could be cleaner.

For Fort Collins Club: fix the towel dispenser in the bathroom by the pool. It's been out of order for months and while it's probably not a big deal for most people, it can signal a lack of concern for details.

I like that that FCC location still takes swimming reservations, and wish it were the case in the south/Miramont gym. It's reassuring to know that I'll not be crossing town to just wait 20 minutes or longer while someone finishes up their laps.

Otherwise, pretty good. The facilities and staff are great, although some of the clientele are annoying or frustrating (loud teens talking crap in locker rooms or pool area, people leaving towels and trash strewn about in the locker rooms, etc.).

Offer more boot camp classes

I used to be a Gold's Gym member in my area and you bought them. So then I moved over to Sky Fitness, and you bought them. I'd only recommend Genesis club here in the Tulsa area if the locations were convenient for my friends. It's personal preference but the 3 locations in Tulsa area don't seem very light - especially midtown. It looks the same as it did when it was Sky Fitness. At Midtown i stopped going because they trimmed classes i was involved with and the weight training don't seem well lit. The bathrooms at the locations could use attention. At midtown location there are a few sinks that don't work or put out very little water, just sprinkles on your hands if it turns on with the auto sensor. The built in soap dispensors were usually broke or empty or something - for about 4 months at one point.

Broken arrow location - the toilets need attention. They don't flush well at all. There is usually always at least one out of order it seems too.

Most frustrating thing that i share with anyone who asks me where i workout, is the annual "equipment fee" as a stand alone charge that could be divided up across the monthly charge instead of surprising members once a year. When it hit my account this last time i went in and inquired how to get it built in to my monthly so it doesn't frustrate me about your brand once a year. I looked at different contract options i even gym shopped around town. The staff person i was talking with about contracts mentioned they get 80-100 phone calls, texts, or emails every time that equipment fee hits with frustrated members asking what happened, why isn't this built into the monthly rate across the year? I feel bad for the employees that have to tie ups

But so far in my 2 years as a Genesis member the perception seems to be with other members i interact with and the employees interact with - that there is a disconnect or ignored customer care requests from corporate to the Tulsa area locations. Last month in one of the power classes we were trying to share weights and one of the member says Yeah they don't care in KC. Because there is an awesome instructor who has classes full of people and we always are low on equipment/weights so she BRINGS A SUITCASE FULL OF WEIGHTS FROM HOME EVERYTIME THAT SHE WHEELS INTO THE GYM HERSELF. She has been doing for several months now so that more members have weights to use. So when your members see an annual "equipment fee" you really grab everyones attention and we start noticing all the stuff that is LACKING at Genesis locations. Just think about your mobile phone bill, its the same for months and the minute you notice a hike in price or random charge you're calling in asking why, maybe looking to go with another company.

Ever since Genesis took over the TV and internet in the cardio machines has not been working.

I disagree with getting rid of the gym. Men's locker room smells like sewage, towel hooks broken, showers out of order. Towels are thread barren. Inside pool deck is a slipping hazard. Inside pool water always hazy.

Multiple treadmills at the Genesis Health Clubs - KC Racquet Club location do not work. It is really annoying and frustrating to see equipment broke and not fixed for weeks

Kids club hours. Especially on the weekends. Other than that, I love this gym but the kids club hours affect my ability to go as often as I’d like to.

I like the variety of machines - both in the weight room as well as in the cardio room. As a general rule, all of the machines work and are reasonably well kept. Staff is always very friendly and that is appreciated.

The other people that are in the room when I work out are always polite and friendly but yet they give me my space to do my own work.

The locker rooms are generally clean and the overall appearance of the club is always satisfactory.

Bring back your regular hours you've had since I joined over 15vyears ago..

5am to midnight M-F
and
6am-11pm Sat. & Sun.

They also used this evening time to wash towels and have ready for morning aquatic classes, and clean locker room and showers.

Have regular snack bar hours and regular menu.

Closed most of the time now.

Have food poolside.

Have food trucks come to parking lot.
Ice cream
Grilled cheese
Shaved ice

I am very disappointed with the current state of the personal training management. Until that is resolved I would not recommend Genesis. Any new member receives free session and I don’t have confidence in the St. Joseph new fitness manager

Kids Club, lap pool

My home gym is actually sw Topeka. They do a good job keeping the gym clean and the tennis staff is awesome.
I wish we had a station to fill up water bottles. Nobody uses water fountains anymore and most people bring their own reusable bottles. It would be really nice to have somewhere besides a water fountain to fill up a bottle.

New remodel and some new equipment.

#6. We appreciate the upholstery update — but, c’mon man, let’s get with it with regard to the equipment and the facility. I know, we’re just Liberty and not Overland Park but we deserve to be treated a little better when something is needed or something breaks down.

Boardwalk Square: good = additional deadlift platform; additional squat racks; carpeted runway for the red sled. bad = still don't have enough 45# plates in the free weight area [you haven't had enough 45# plates for years]; it seems like the free weight section is *ALWAYS* missing enough clamps. A member who wants to lift safely almost always has to look around to find a pair of clamps. You need to just buy the darned things by the gross, and when a trainer has a break between clients, have them make sure every free weight bench, squat rack, and deadlift platform have a pair of clamps. And the rest of the carpet is FILTHY. I've seen garage floors with oil stains that didn't look as dirty.

Olathe (Blackfoot location): That place is just a rundown mess. The lockers are very worn and the showers are just awful. Much of the equipment is pretty worn. The vinyl that covers several of the free weight benches is cracked or torn. I had to try five - yes, FIVE - different elliptical machines before I found one that was in working order.

Another thing that is VERY annoying is that I was grandfathered in from a membership of a club that you bought out. For this reason, if I want to use one of your nicer locations, then I'm expected to pony up $5 or $10 EVERY TIME I visit a "premium" location?! That should be $2, maybe $3 at the most. I don't care how nice it is, I ain't gonna set foot in the place for what it costs for an entire month @ Planet Fitness.

If I had only ever visited the Boardwalk location, I would have said a "5" or perhaps a "6" on the recommendation scale. If I had only ever seen the Olathe (Blackfoot) location, I would have given you a negative one, hence the score of 2.

Fix broken machines sooner than 2 months after breaking. The suana is broken more often than it works.

In general, nice club but put a little bit of love back in and it will be noticed and appreciated.

It’s very convenient, love the pool, hot tub, sauna and steam rooms. For its size, it has everything I need for a great workout.
