The outdoor tennis courts need a lot of attention as the dirts from the sides ruins the courts after every storm.
Everyone is very friendly and the place is clean
The place is clean, friendly, and full of kids, great place!
We have cancelled our family membership and moved to a different health club due to lower pricing.
My favorite noon class was canceled. Core+ Yoga Flow. Bring it back there.
Upgrade the steam room (it rarely in works). Most tv screens on equipment are inoperable.
Upgrade of floor equipment is needed.
Staff is friendly and helpful. There are many classes to choose from to get a good workout. The gym has multiple machines so no need to wait especially if you work multiple machines at once.
Many locations
I love the overall size. I love the size of the indoor basketball courts and track. Absolutely love the outdoor family pool and indoor lap and separate pool. Love the private showers with curtains and large locker rooms. Love the vast array of studio rooms and classes, along with the plethora of various exercise equipment including boxing gear. Love the in house mini restaurant with snacks to come or go and lounge area. It’s easy to spend so much time here because it has so much to offer with even more potential!
The equipment and how clean it is. I do wish you bring back the classes we had pre covid.
You said you were going to renovate the facility over a year maybe 2years ago. Nothing is happening and there e are no plans to. They have buckets catching water from roof damage. It looks dingy and dirty. Needs a remodel and face lift desperately bad
Not a large variety of classes and so many areas are in need of repairs and updating.
All the classes and connecting with friends in the classes!
The temperature in the gym is ridiculous. I’ve been a member there forever and this is unacceptable. In addition, the equipment is getting old and is in constant disrepair. Management doesn’t seem to care, either and I’ve witnessed numerous condescending conversations when customers have voiced their concerns - very unprofessional and disrespectful. The gym has taken a nose dive in the past 12 months and I am now looking to spend my money elsewhere.
It’s a shame Genesis doesn’t value their loyal customers. I’m not alone in my opinion on this and it is a daily topic of conversation.
Friendly atmosphere
OneLife kept up better with the equipment. Equipment is needing service, and then has
Signs on it saying out of service for weeks and months…stairsteppers for example. 66% of the stairs steppers have been out over a month.
When will the wet, dry and hottubs be completed.
Bring back gym wipes - ain’t no body wanna spray and use a towel what happened to the wipes!
Also- keep the place a bit cleaner.
Great location, staff is usually kind as well. It did go a bit down hill after genesis bought it out, and prices went up?
Friendly staff
The men's locker room is a wreck. Last week it was probably 80 degrees in there. Locker doors are falling off and the showers are something else - five or six don't shut off all the way so hot water is always coming out making the shower room a steam room. A sink was clogged for a couple of days with stagnant water standing in the sink. The inoperable drinking fountain that hasn't worked for at least six months still doesn't work. Thank goodness for Glenn Parsons in the morning or there would probably not be any towels either.
Pool access
The classes and leaders Deb and Pam. Also very fond of Angie and Jeff. They are all very friendly and helpful.
Glossing over details to sell memberships
I would recommend Genius at Merle Haye to anyone in our Area.
The Staff is friendly and helpful. The facility is clean and maintained daily if not periodically every hour.

Group exercise classes
Finish the remodel, and complete the men's hottub and sauna.
The women's bathroom at the south location needs cleaning. One of the toilets needs to be replaced. It is leaking and smells like urine everything I go. Please fix this problem
I've been going to the gym for over 20 years, under several changes in ownership and am still here.
Keep the early am classes on the schedule.
Have all the TV's working. Lately, three of them have not been on a daily basis.
We have been members of the North OP location of Genesis for about 20 years (formerly Prairie Life Center). Our entire family has used and loved the facility- from my husband and I working out, to the nursery and kids camps, to constant use of the basketball court by our son, and the outdoor pools in the summer.
We were sad to see some of the changes to the club that were done pre-pandemic. We miss the full basketball court and cardio equipment being upstairs.
We do feel the facility is looking “tired”. Paint needs refreshing, new chairs at the pool needed, and general cleaning upgraded.
Would love to see the basketball court go back to its original size to allow for camp usage AND members. Members shouldn’t take the back seat to camp. Camp shouldn’t change the scope of the club for adult members.
Lifeguards at the pool would be a fabulous addition.
