Great upgrade

The entire club is nice and clean. The staff are friendly and helpful. The equipment is well maintained.
No towels, or sweat towels even.
Also I am a triathlete and one of the main reasons I use the gym is for the pool. The spray off showers in the pool area have never worked, you don’t have towel service, the suit dryer in the mens locker room has been broken for 6 months. The pool is either super cold or gets like bath water. Everytime you close the pool for repairs there never is enough notification. Would be super helpful to have an email go out on planned down days cause I’m constantly finding out the pool is closed after I drive all the way there and find out.
Your steam room was down for over a month.
When I shared my displeasure about this, the conversation immediately become an argument rather than a discussion with an end result that I want to terminate my membership with Genesis. Only to be told by Morris that I was required to pay an additional $100.00 to terminate my contract and when I said that I would not pay that fee because your company has failed complete your end of our agreement by not providing access to this part of the gym and furthermore never offered any other solution other than a threat from someone you left "in charge"
Your "assistant manager", Morris offended me verbally with his threats and I do want to terminate my association with Genesis however, Iwill not pay your fee to do so.
Additionally, another one of your employees was present during this rude and insensitive verbal acosting that I took from Morris, your assistant manager.
I'm skeptical and doubtful anyone from your company will come up with any resolution to this situation that I will be happy with other than terminating my contract at no cost to me.
Fix the HVAC system. The locker room is always warm. Sometimes the workout floor is too. Fix the steam room. It is broken more than it is working.
I’m not disappointed I just want to bring it to your attention, the cleaning crews at 132nd in locker rooms are failing miserably. The stall floors are dirty and worse yet sticky!! Never experienced that since I been a member. Lots of complaints about the steam room and agree, yuck!!
I realize it’s a hard job but if you switched cleaning crews might want to revisit that. I’ve got feedback on keeping steam room clean. Phone number removed
Here is the deal. I was excited when you purchased Aspen but it still feels like Aspen with the same issues. The following are things I thought would improve and the list is random and not in priority order.
The environment in the workout areas were not being maintained at a level for heavy workouts.
In these weight rooms the ceiling fans aren’t working. It would be nice to have air moving.
The Aspen signs are still in parts of the building, I thought Genesis signage would appear.
Parking lot maintenance is a disgrace, half filled pot holes and faded lines for parking.
It is interesting the roof leaking has not ever been completely fixed.
Walked around buckets on the stairway Thursday, water dripping into them.
Weight machine maintenance is better but don’t you have spare parts for quick fixes?
I do wonder if the dead parts of trees will be taken care of in the future.
My final comment is the entire building is kind of depressing.
On the up side the staff is great, very friendly and enjoyable to work with.
On my personal side for some reason the only thing I can do with the Genesis Ap is check in every time I enter the facility. I’m not sure what the issue might be but there seems to be no one to help solve my issues.
Water aerobics
It's just pricey when planet fitness is only 20. Plus it cost extra for a personal trainer and that isn't cheap either.
1. Keep it clean, especially the mens locker room.
2. Finish the plumbing, mens locker room.
3. Provide recycling. It is so discouraging in this time of environmental stress to see waste that could be easily recycled.
Lockerroom shower area is dirty. There is mold on some stalls and all kinds of gunk in the vents above the showers. Repairs take a long time. One shower has been inoperable for over a month. One of the toilets was inoperable for more than 2 months at the beginning of the year. Several of the sinks do not shut off when pushing handle down...this has been an issue for over 5 years. Overall cleansing could improve.
It would be nice to have a separate stretching area, too. There is a yoga room on upper level, but it's locked when there isn't a class.
I was told this location doesn’t allow guest passes.
I like the club but the men’s locker room could use more than one toilet.
Locker rooms. Kids in weight room. No supervision people sitting on machines looking at cell phones
Maintain the equipment. Clean the gym.
Add more group exercise classes, esp. yoga and barre.
Treat your staff as though you value them. Most of them are great and we like seeing them when we work out.
Air conditioning never seems to work and the men’s locker room is dirty.
Equipment not in good shape. Cracking vinyl. Not enough weights. Bad music.
Missing amenities like steam room/sauna. Always have cardio machines with maintenance signs on them.
Classes, cleanliness
Your staff at the front desk are always on their cell phone sitting on the counter while having No towels that I pay for every month. This starts from top management down. Start taking care of your members and reinvesting your profits back into your business. Your reputation as the owner and business practices seem quite shady. This is known in Wichita and here in KC. Since no one knows how to CLEAN maybe you invest in a company that can clean the locker rooms, showers, steam, sauna and hot tub. 10 year old towels need to be replaced.
It has everything I want out of a fitness club. There's a track, a variety of weight equipment and ellipticals, multiple swimming pools, a clean shower room, and just a nice atmosphere overall. I look forward to my visits each time.
I love all my classes and instructors. They make the classes fun, but still a great workout. Also I enjoy the pool and upstairs track! I have lots of friends that enjoy Genesis too!
Update cardio machines. Mens locker room seems old/dirty (hot tub)

Locker room is in need of remodeling. Terrible
Make sure people clear out of lockers. It is getting harder each week to find one that is not occupied. It seems likely that not all of the lockers are being actively used at any given time but rather people are using them overnight/long term.
Too many younger kids have taken over weight room area. Too crowded now.
Also: Need new showers--no improvements since opening.
I like my trainer. He is very good.
