Large, clean, good training personnel!
I am not confident in the sincerity of the club. The group instructors are the BEST and they are what keep me coming back. Same goes with some of the trainers.
I am able to lap swim in the middle of a pandemic. Your locker room upgrades are a positive too. I wish you'd be able to get the hot tub fixed though.
Everything is clean with good equipment and a great cast of trainers.
Only main complaint is the music--would love even one day a week where there is a change. Something like "throw back Tuesdays" or similar ideas. I want to feel the Eye of the Tiger!
Lots of classes and plenty of machines.
The gym needs to be updated. Machines are hogged by the same people and can get very congested in some areas, a bigger space is necessary with updates on some equipment mostly in the weight area and leg presses. The sauna is too small for the amount of people coming in. The value is there and the employees are all very helpful and nice!
Grow a pair of balls, tell the health department they have no right to mandate face masks while working out, extend hours (for some reason the Lees Summit hours are less than your other local locations)
Have the cleaning crew be consistent on time they do cleaning. Have your employees actually wear a mask and demand members to follow guidelines. Make sure your weekend crew stops coming late forcing people to wait 10-20 minutes outside.
Proximity, equipment
We like everything about Genesis! Ryan M. our personal trainer is really good. He knows when to push to make you better and when to back off, which at our ages, we have days when we need to back off a little. I like the group classes. The instructors are every motivational and personable. They know everyone by name and are always happy and smiling. The club is always clean and the machines are in good working order.
Men's sauna is still not well maintained...I've addressed it 3-4x on this survey and its not any better over past 12-18 months..
We like the place, the people. It is a very pleasant family environment.
Not have swimming classes back to back 3 in a row. This way others can use the pool and swim. The classes take up lanes that we use to swim in instead of spreading it down the pool
Class instructor’s and the variety of weight lifting and cardio equipment.
Equipment (cardio mostly) is getting extremely run down, it’s dirty, loud, half the time doesn’t work, etc.
Update equipment! Clean floors, base of equipment, etc!
I also believe GHC should offer members an early out from their contract with COVID going on, but they are not.
Keep the hot tub working
Its 24 hrs . I like to work out early in the morning .
Accounting/computer access to my account to see what I’m getting charged for. If I buy a pkg of tennis lessons or drills I never know when I need another etc.
The remodel is fabulous! Locker rooms and restrooms are spacious and well designed. My reason for a 7 rating is in reference to the tennis courts. 1. The courts need more frequent sweeping. 2. HVAC is inadequate on courts 1-4. These courts were very hot in the summer before the remodel and were hot this past summer. Check the east wall walkway between courts 1 and 3. The duct that comes in from the exterior is not connected to the vertical duct inside. There is an 8-10 in gap between the ducts. Just below this area and closer to court 1, there is a poorly sized thin, metal patch on the cinder block wall. Daylight can be seen around the edge and you will lose a great deal of heat there this winter. A push broom has been used to keep the tarps on the corner of court 1 in place because of the air movement in this area.
I love the group fitness classes. I appreciate the dependability, friendliness & skill of the instructors. The front desk staff are friendly too. I feel at home.
The majority of people working out and the staff staff were not wearing their masks at all times as is now mandated. There was no effort by the staff to make sure everyone was wearing their masks properly or at all.
It would be nice if there were a few lockers outside of the locker rooms for family use. For example when I take my young daughter there, and I obviously can't take her into the men's locker room, but we would still like to be able to secure our belongings.
Fixing the hand sanitizers in women’s locker room still need replacing. Suddenly they are gone.
We have been asking for new aerobic steps for years and still get no action to replace. These are not safe for use on a regular basis. Please think of the safety of you patrons.
Concern about inadequate craning materials sometimes
Great trainers (Nicole, Bailey), friendly staff, clean facility.
Just feel the gym needs to be more cautious for the safety of their members with the pandemic. No signage until addressed stating to wear a.mask. Now your having a potluck!! WTH!!

Please fix or replace the bikes in the group fitness room. I think there are more broken than work.
Faces mask should be mandatory to everyone entering the gym, have been many times at the gym and pretty mucho no one is wearing a mask.
Should be more variety of clases like Pilates, yoga
