Machines are not fixed. Hot in basement weight room and there are inordinate amount of high school teens more than before covid that don’t know gym etiquette about using machines. They leave their stuff on machines walk around and talk to friends and expect that no one else using the machines while they socialize

Chaz is quite receptive to concerns. Also very friendly as is the staff. Improvement at the pool is happening but we have a ways to go. Love the interval class on Tuesday am.

The gym building needs a lot of repairs the showers need to be cleaned ( they have mildew and soap scum , there dirty) parking lot is full of pot holes that have not been repaired.

At times the staff can be a little rude to their own employees, butting into their personal lives!

There's no water conveniently available to courts (OP).
There's no phone app to reserve tennis courts or for other activities.
Technology is about circa 1990's helping to make billing commonly a error prone joke (so many people talk about this and if they care they keep their own tracking spreadsheets).
There's no web site to make reservations for tennis or other activities.
The web site they have is constantly out of date or showing incorrect information.
The air conditioning system is woefully pitiful when it is even working (OP).
The bar can't make hardly any mixed drinks (OP)...ask for a bloody mary, long island tea, salty dog, margarita, mai tai, etc. can't do it.
The bar doesn't stock very many kinds of energy drinks.
They removed ceiling fans from the tennis court area (its stifling HOT on 1/2/3/4).
Over the years they've done almost nothing but remove racket sport amenities (hitting lanes, ball machines, on court coolers, racquetball). Tho' have repainted the courts once.
They don't keep statistics for league tennis players.
Employees are consistently mistreated and taken advantage of.
They upgraded the look of the place (OP) to attract more customers, which it did, and then made the existing customers pay for it with an upgrade fee. That should be rebated for tennis customers since the remodel took away amenities from tennis.
There's no self service microwave to heat anything up.
When you get in a circle of friends, there's so many complaints, and it all comes down to shoddy high level management that show he does not value customers very well.

Lots of good equipment, good scenery, good locker rooms , showers etc.

Good selection of equipment and the indoor pool, as well as classes.

Cleanliness of the Club and friendliness of the employees

Proximity, availability of equipment at the club.

Right now I can't answer that until the remodeling is finished and the management is more known to me.

Fix or replace broken equipment. I'm sure it's hard to get parts and service though so it's understandable

Invest in upgrading the facility.

You have done a pretty good job keeping the club up to date since Cliff sold it- please keep up servicing machines and other repairs promptly.

I recall that you will be doing a renovation at some point soon, and I would love it if you would paint lines in the basketball areas for Pickleball, so we could have games there, similar to the FC Club. They use removable nets so it would only be during a designated time and the area could still be used for other things, such as kids camps, etc. The main time that we would want it for Pickleball would be during the winter when it's too cold to play outside. Thanks!

Extremely disappointed in the lack of group classes now offered @ the Hutchinson location! Group Power used to be offered multiple days/times of an evening. It is now only offered at 5:15 AM & 9:00 AM on Saturdays! Group Blast & Centergy are no longer even on the schedule!😡 Our monthly dues include group classes & right now, those are minimal!! Genesis needs to figure out something with the Hutch location or they are going to lose more members than they already have!

Variety of locations and class. Clean facilities. Friendly, capable staff.

Trainers taking over machines when they are not training. Not everyone shares the weight machines. They put their devices, water bottles and or towels on a machine they are not using at the moment. People will be on their phones on the machines for a long time.

Is there a ramp from the parking lot (upper?) I occasionally have to use the stairs and am increasingly mindful of a probability that I wont be able to maneuver in the future unless I get a spot by the doors.

This is a great location and has a lot of potential to be a really great club. A remodel similar to Westroads or 84th and Center will help. Its kind of dark even with all the windows.

I will say this, since new manager has taken over recently the locker rooms are much cleaner , most water and steam rooms work on a consistent basis , staff friendlier , etc. All around much closer to what is was originally like. Before the change and I don't know here name, this place was crap and I was ready to go to the JCC over the hill and join.

The teachers in classes I love and I will be part of the place until they leave , especially the YOGA teachers who are Very Good.

locker room/shower room needs maintenance.
1. a few locker doors have been broken/ missing for some time.
2. there are always at least 3 shower heads missing
3.the paper towel dispensers in the shower room do not work most of the time.

The classes are great which comes with the added bonus of a sauna to relax.

I have been working with a personal trainer at the Olathe Genesis (former The Athletic Club/ Prairie Life) location three times a week since August 2019. My husband has been a member at the same club since 2011 and he also works out with a personal trainer three times a week at Genesis. I believe last year we spent $15,000 at Genesis on training and membership. A big area to improve would be maintenance of the equipment. For example currently of the three rowing machines, only one works correctly but even it makes a clicking noise in the drive when you use it. The second machine doesn’t track meters Road, and the third machine is literally lying broken on the floor. Cleanliness has been a little bit better lately at this facility. The staff is friendly and we like her trainers, but maintenance of equipment is a big area to improve. Also better air conditioning in the summer.

I wait till the afternoon to swim after all water aerobics classes are done and still at times difficult to get a lane. I hate sharing lanes because my speed does not match others and I really don't want to be kicked accidentally by another swimmer because of my joint replacements.
Often because one or more lanes are taken up with people walking or doing something else in swim lanes rather than swimming laps, this allows them to take up lane even longer than the swimmers do. I have had a shoulder, knee and hip replacement and each time I waited for clearance from my doctor and when returned started up right away with lap swimming.
You need to seriously think about restricting time for such pool use or number of lanes (altogether they all only need one lane as walking or bobbing about not actively swimming) Ideally a lazy river for this use would be wonderful but probably cost prohibitive.

Way too crowded and the hours are short on Friday, Saturday and Sunday evenings. Needs to stay open until 9pm

I normally would have given the likelihood of recommending Genesis Miramont South a 10; however, over the last several months, I have been freezing in Studio 1 (temps ranging from 57 to 61; lately maybe 63). This has been extremely uncomfortable, and it appears nothing is being done to remedy the situation. There are several "Out of Order" signs that have been up for at least two weeks on machines and on lockers, indicating a lack of maintenance capability. I love Miramont South, have been a member for 10 years and hope maintenance issues can be taken care of more expeditiously.

This poor Genesis location has been under construction for coming on 2 years! Only recently has there been noticeable progress. With the dust and construction noise, I would not recommend anyone go to this site except to take advantage of the outstanding pool facilities.
