I would like more indoor tennis courts, possibly converting the two outdoor courts that are not being used because of their poor condition into indoor courts.
I would also like the indoor tennis courts to be used only for tennis. Oftentimes throughout the year I cannot get a court because pickleball players are using it. Even if I can get a court, if I'm playing at the same time as pickleball players it is way too loud in there. Tennis players can't hear the score or the movement or sound of the ball. I feel that pickleball players should get their own courts and the tennis courts should be for tennis.
I would also like the renovation to be done soon. It has been going on for a long time. It would be nice if the dry sauna would get fixed as well.
The best thing about Genesis on Old Cheney is the staff. The tennis pros are amazing. Fungai and Kerry do a great job. The front desk staff are so friendly and helpful each and every time I come there. Out of the three Genesis clubs in Lincoln, the front desk staff on Old Cheney is leaps and bounds the best. Also, Betsy is wonderful. She has helped me out numerous times and she is always incredibly nice.
Club is dysfunctional.
The showers are filthy.
One sink hasn't been working for at least 4 weeks.
I ask the manager questions and don't get a response.
When things are broken in the weight area (hanger for floor mats currently) they are broken for a good long time.
I was surprised by lack of front desk support. I came what I would have considered a busy enough time and I could have just walked in if I wanted and had no questions.
The club has gone downhill quickly since the corporate buyout (cleanliness, towel shortages, no towels, parking lot, capital improvments needed, etc.) It was an abrupt and obvious transition. As I think about the rate that the club charges, these issues should not exist. One excuse is covid, but without having seen your books I am reasonably positive that Genesis received more than ample PPE funds. If that's the case, you've probably never had so much cash on your books. This has nothing to do with staff or managment; you have some really outstanding people here like Hannah who is obviously invested in her work, and the trainers Rob, Esteban, Tony, and Nicole (the Wednesday 5:30PM yoga teacher) who go above and beyond. Rather, this comes from ownership seems to be unfocused. I write unfocused because it looks like you're trying to be an amenity gym but a Planet Fitness too. Fort Collins is a highly competitive gym market so if a Lifetime, or a similar gym, decides to plant a flag here I think it's reasonable to assume that there will be significant membership hemmorage. Then what will you do? I hope you can turn this around to what Miramont was.
Excellent staff and very clean.
Great gym. Good locations. Doesn't seem over-crowded. Just added some new equipment.
A little cooler. Make sure paper towels and spray bottles stay full
It was very clean and the staff was friendly and helpful.
Starting off, a single question survey with a follow up open ended question doesn't provide any statically significant data. This survey isn't valid in anyway. There are no questions about equipment, cleanliness, if I as a member feel the equipment is up to date, staying up to date on current fitness practices, staffing, gym environment, cafe services, member services, etc.
The only reason I would suggest this gym is because I've been a member for years. Since Genesis purchased Sky there has been a significant decline as a whole.
There are hardly ever clan towels and the dirty towels pile up in the locker room baskets. Someone should monitor this more often.
Better maintenance of cardio machines on the top level of the basketball court area. TV solemnly works! Submitted complaints of this issues several times. No A/C if portable fans upstairs where cardio equipments are. Just neglected in that area.
Stay open later. Closing at 6pm on Sat & Sun is way too early. Weekend evenings are the most convenient times for me to go to the gym, It's my free time. I understand almost everyone reduced their hours when COVID started, but life goes on. Please stay open later. pm would be good. There are a lot of places in town that have better hours, some even open 24/7 & for that reason alone I have seriously been thinking about switching. However, you're locker rooms/showers are better than any I've seen in the last 30 yrs & you've got really nice, helpful staff.
Proximity to where I live; I've made friends there; socialization helps the medicine (exercise) go down.
Class instructors are great!
I almost forget this quite important feedback to the Wardparkway location. I was there a few days ago, I need to say the shower head(s) are leaking, low pressure, and damaged. Maybe only 2 out of 8 are in working condition but still with small issues, like leaking water a little. And cleanness, I can tell it is getting worse and floor drainage in some shower stalls need to unclog.
Wide range of machines
Repair equipment faster. Also clean the air ducts above the gym. Replace the light bulbs as a large number of them are burned out.
The club at Sprague has need of repairs to equipment and the whole place needs a good cleaning
What I like:
People. Location. Cleanness. Towels.
What I don’t like:
2 Broken faucets. Out of order hairdryer
Air conditioning in the women's locker room needs repair. Locker room could be cleaner. Racquetball courts need to be cleaned regularly, especially if they are used for other purposes. Lights also need to be repaired in the racquetball courts.
Air conditioning is never working it's hard for me to get a good workout when it's so hot.. Or are my trainer has to change his plan just to fit whatever part of the gym is cooler. There is always broken equipment and it takes a long time before it has gotten fixed you would think it could get fixed in a week or so. And it's really not a very clean.
I like the new look, and thank you so much for keeping it a cool inside as it is. I'm not really comfortable with co- ed sauna and steam room. I guess it has to do for me. It's a nice gym though. Thanks..
We are not sure why the TV’s are always off or not working after the remodel. Why are so many bikes, treadmills not plugged in or not working, and the rowing machine still has a foot strap broken from before the remodel? How could all the santilizer bottles be empty and no one at the front desk knows where to go to, to refill them? Cleanliness is important if you want people to return.
Large selection of equipment and friendly staff.
This club has all the equipment needed for a variety of exercise options no matter what your level or desire is. Staff is friendly and helpful and club is well maintained and clean.
Take better care of wet saunas and hot tub ph
When I’m checking in and the girl at the front desk tells me to shut up when I make a dad joke to my daughter, that’s not OK! She didn’t apologize, She didn’t laugh, she didn’t try to make it right.
I like the facility layout and the variety of both the equipment and group exercise classes.
Clean facility and the customer service you deserve.
