The reason I would not recommend the club to others is that since it was acquired by Genesis, it is busy to the point that it's not worth going during weekdays if you have any sort of job that requires you to work traditional hours. This has deterred me from going to this gym and I plan to cancel within this calendar year. What used to be an enjoyable experience, at a convenient location, is now a waste of time.
Call Queen and equipment always available
Drove all the way to the gym Thursday and the pool was closed. I don’t use any of the other equipment in the facility. Gas is expensive. Why can’t you at least send an email when you close the pool.

You are planet fitness quality at quadruple the price. Cleaning continues to drop (guys toilet clogged with crap for over a week). Staff are unengaged with members (always on phones instead of greeting/meeting) maintenance is absent (machines broken since January)

The locker rooms and shower area is a disgrace. Promises of improvement have not been met.
The woman’s gym seems very hot and the equipment seems kind of old. Very surprised that the outdoor tennis courts are in disarray and not used. Otherwise I think it is fine.
Insure all equipments are properly functioning at all times.

The mens' bathroom area is ALWAYS a disaster. Particularly the urinals. It is like I am at a bus station next to a homeless camp. Much, much more attention is needed here.
Get newer cardio and weight machines.
I would like to commend your maintenance at West Central Genesis. I believe his name is Chase. He has done an outstanding job of clearing up the pool which had been so cloudy for ,months! He's always on the move but often interacts with the instructors (my mimicking them!) and always gets a chuckle from everyone. He has asked us about reports of problems in the showers or whatever. He took all the problems with the water heater in stride and kept us apprised of issues and resolutions. He's a keeper!
Additional squat racks would be nice. It seems like a lot of lockers are always broken in the mens locker room.
2nd floor weight and machine area way too small
Friendly atmosphere, friendly people to work with, facilities for what I need to do to stay in shape & the availability of classes I need.
The gym has gone so downhill since genesis took over. Being an original Onelife member, the expectation of members now is lacking. Current members are careless, they don’t put anything away where it belongs and I never see the current staff doing anything about it. Equipment has managed to disappear and is never replaced.
Any equipment that is broken, stays broken for weeks.
Truly a bummer watching this once great place to workout turn so crappy.
Cost of Pilates etc
Since the place became a Genesis club it is not very clean anymore. It isn’t kept up very well and I haven’t seen much equipment changes. People sit on equipment in the nautilus area on their phones and not using the equipment. No one regulates that so there’s just a bunch of people on their phones scrolling and watching video taking up a piece of equipment.
The bathrooms are really dirty. No one picks up their stuff anymore. I dread having to go into the restroom area.
The towels really need to be refreshed. They are gross and old. Many even have holes.
When will the treadmills be repaired? Almost half are chronically out of use.
My friends are over forty and i think this is a younger crowd kind of gym. But i would still recommend if the location worked for them
The whirlpool hot tub near the indoor pool has been broken for over a year now. Only two jets have been working during this time, up until recently when one of the two working jets is now non-functioning. This length of time to allow a major benefit to be without repair is unacceptable. Please get it fixed.
There seems to have been a reduction in staff assigned to wiping down equipment and an overall lack of attention to cleanliness of the club.
Also, the seems to have lost some of its luster. I don’t see many positive interactions between front desk staff and members as I used to see. I recognize the change in ownership and the nearly wholesale charge in club staff are a contributing factor.
I'm tired of the hip hop, rap, music crap playing loudly all the time.
Also too many people monopolize machines while texting on their cell phones. Then you have to ask them if you can work in with them, which always causes bad looks. And many times they put their phones down just long enough to get in a set that you have to walk away, and then they go back to looking at their phones BAN ALL CELL PHONES IN THE WORKOUT AREA.
Convenient. Clean. Plenty of equipment. Good hours
