Very competent service by Mike Davis. He is very friendly, and proficient at his job - very knowledgable!! I totally trust him in servicing the furnace and air conditioner.
I came home from vacation and my furnace wasn't repaired right. The motor that was repaired is not engaging still. The technician left a passive aggressive message on the bill too about my furnace. I also believe the price was a little high. I have multiple rental homes and the main company I call can do this repair for about 8-10% less of a price. I feel as though I have been taken advantage.
Your service people are very knowledgeable & thoughtful . Nick has been the last two service calls & we think very highly of him even tho he is a new man .

The technician was very thorough and answered my many questions. I have always been happy with Standard, but when I have a service call it reminds me of why I like this company so much. Everyone I talked to from my original phone call to the serviceman who came out was eager to be of service and very polite.
Techs are clean, wear "booties" in the home, on time and seem very competent.
The person who came to our home was polite and was right on time. We really appreciated that he called to let us know when he was coming. Great customer service! I would definitely recommended to friends and family.

I have (at least) two problems with my furnace. The first, was a pressure switch being bad, but that's easy enough to bypass. The second, my flame not being sensed by the control board, I couldn't figure out so I made an appointment to get a professional hvac technician out to my place. The tech was a nice enough guy, but doesn't understand flame rectification (flame sensing) at all. He told me that the flame produces DC current...and he told me there was something really wrong with my system when I told him I had 80 volts ac going to my flame sensor, I just wasn't seeing the DC microamp current being created through the flame to ground. He tested for the pressure really well, but never looked into the flame sense problem...
When we had our tri-annual inspection the technician found two potentially serious problems but did not fix them that day nor offer to send someone that week. Meanwhile you increased your prices for the tri-annual inspections. The whole reason for having these inspections is to get things fixed when they need it before a breakdown or health hazard occurs. When I called the next day to make an appointment to have the two things fixed I nearly had to argue with the scheduler and she had to call me back as well as put me on hold twice to talk to others about whether I could have a service call or not. This is not the kind of service I thought I was paying $17.95 a month for. I expect better when I am a subscribing customer. To fix it you could skip charging me for the fixes that are now scheduled on January 29.

If I do recommend someone to use Standard, I'll warn them about the pricing model. I think I was vastly over charged. I paid for a service call in advance. So that was about $100. Then a Honeywell thermostat that would be about $40-$50 most anywhere else cost me $175. So for $275, I had a replacement thermostat and used about 15 min of the tech's time total. Honestly, I feel like I was ripped off. I could say maybe marking up the thermostat a little but 3 times its normal cost. Labor pretty much should have been covered in the service call It really soured me on the entire experience. The people fielding the service request were great and nice to deal with. Tech was personable and knowledgeable, I just feel like I was totally gouged on price. I need more work to be done and I likely look for someone else to do it.
