It was a very stressful time for me and Rusty was responsive to my questions and concerns about replacing my travel trailer’s roof. The work was completed in a timely manner.
Nobody knows what they are doing ! I had a problem with my brand new camper and I had to pay my $250 deductible which I agree to for them to come out and look at it but then they told me it was not covered under the warranty so they charge me another $260 without my consent . I am beyond dissatisfied.
Quality products, very professional and friendly staff. Very helpful in finding the right product to fit your needs
Service team is attentive. Even if orders are not perfect, they come through.
Alpin Haus RV of Amsterdam, service has been excellent. Every time we have had a issue or a concern they have been able to help us. Several times over the years they have even stopped at our home to trouble shoot an issue we were having. Several times while traveling they have been there for us and now we store our trailer right there and they have it ready for us when we are ready for another adventure. Just a great team to have on our side!
Natasha was amazing!
Camper is too notch and the service was great especially Dan Taber the sales manager was extremely helpful in any situation that came up great experience all around
I had an amazing experience with the service department. Mike W kept in contact with me through the whole process. Shawn W (technician) did an amazing job and has great craftsmanship. This is my 4th camper that I bought from Alpin Haus and I’ve had great service for many years.
Helpful company for all things RV related
We have owned a travel trailer with Alpin Haus for over 5 years. We purchased it with Garrick. We have used your service department for the entire time we owned. Not super pleased with the service dept. as it took them 5 years to fix our leak under the sink. I had to finally supply pictures of the leak and it was finally fixed. Last year our trailer approached 5 years so we had it in for the 5 year service check. I noticed a bubbling on one of our interior walls. When we brought it in for the 5 year check I mentioned this to the technician, right on the service sheet dated 5-28-25 it clearly states "check interior ceiling for water damage". Upon pickup I spoke to the technician and asked him if he found any leaks. He said all looked good, your camper was in good condition. No one mentioned a leak, water damage nothing. The only suggestion on the invoice was to wash the roof. Great. This year we decided to upgrade and trade our camper in. We dropped our trailer off and 2 days later went to pick up our new one. At that time Kyle came out and asked us what was going with our trailer and the water damage. We were surprised at this since we thought we addressed it last year. Bottom line, we didn't get the amount we were told and we did not like how we were being spoken to. We did go ahead with the deal. After I thought about this I decided to pull the service invoice to make sure I didn't misread it. I went back with my invoice to show Kyle your service department assured us all was good with our camper. He said he wasn't there. I asked him if they did find a problem wouldn't this be the perfect place to put it, to say they found water damage and to suggest solutions. He agreed. Nothing was said to us at the time of pick up. I paid $1,192.58 for this over haul. Yet got screwed at the trade in. I trusted your service department and would like to know why they aren't held accountable for the service they said they provided for us. I will have to deal with your service department and your organization for another 5 years at least with my new camper and quiet frankly I am not looking forward to it. I am going to write a letter to the service manager and to Kyle's manager regarding this treatment.
Everyone there was very nice and helpful. I feel we could have negotiated a little more on the price of the RV and extra parts.
Steven did a great job with the walkthrough!

Service is great! Called to have our RV washed and brought out of storage and a day later it was ready! Great job! Thank you!
Everyone was so helpful from the moment we stepped into the place!! Service team fixed my minor issues for an excellent price will return if needed again.
Lower prices.
The Service area, especially Rusty and Dave are top notch. The service department can triage and resolve problems unlike and RV, dealer or local mechanic I’ve had work on my vehicles.
My next purchases will be from Alpenhaus… anyone can sell … they’ll take care of you after the purchase
Good repair service taking maximum opportunity of extended warranty
I was happy the service department got me right in when AC went on the fritz. The advisor was pleasant and accessible.
However, I specifically questioned whether the breaker trip might be due to a bad capacitor. The technician sort of made a face.
When I got the diagnostic report, it didn't indicate the capacitor(s) were examined or tested. Apparently, all that was done was to verify that the unit started, blew cold and that compressor drew 23 amps steady until breaker blew. The report explained that after start, the draw should drop.
The report said either the compressor failed or a part broke off inside the sealed part of the unit - both requiring new AC unit. When i asked about the capacitor, the advisor told me "there are no interchangeable parts on your unit."
I determined that I have a Dometic Penquin II. Dometic confirmed the model. Dometic laughed when I asked if a) there was a capacitor and b) it was true that it could not be replaced. Dometic gave me the part numbers for the common parts that fail that COULD be the source of the problem.
My issue is this. My suggestion about the capacitor was dismissed. There's no evidence the capacitor was detected. Dometic confirmed that while it could be a compressor or fail in the sealed part of the unit, a steady compressor draw of 23 amp could also be caused by a bad capacitor.
I am going to get the capacitor tested. I recognize I may need a new unit, but before I spend $3,500 on top of the $300 already paid, I'm going to make sure the problem isn't from a $56 part that could be replaced.
P.S. Based on my research, I think I can get the same replacement unit quoted for about $1,000 less, including install.
I don't wish to come up as accusatory, but it is no secret that some service personnel at dealers work on commission, in part. I hope that is not the case. But I don't think my suggestion about a bad capacitor should have been dismissed so easily. If I had known the the tech was merely going to start the unit and do an amp-draw test, I would have gone somewhere else. I realize it was a VERY hot day (97 degrees) and testing the capacitor would have required going up on the roof.
An absolute breeze of a time. The staff (sales, parts and management) we dealt with there were professional, helpful and trustworthy. Everyone made us feel comfortable with our decision. 100% recommend Alpin House Amsterdam location!!
Friendly staff and fast service on my trailer.
You guys are expensive and this what it is
Very pleasant experience. The entire team was helpful throughout the process and gave me the impression that I was the most important person they had to deal with at that moment. Great job Alpin Haus!
FWIW, another national camping dealership (CW) spoke very badly of Alpin Haus when I was looking at another unit prior to visiting Alpin Haus. I was shocked at how wrong this CW salesperson was after my first visit to your Orange County location.
They set appointment and understood we had a trip coming up. After having the camper for four days I called and they said they didn’t have the valve in stock. I told them that I would just. One pick it up since unlikely they would meet deadline. They then said their distributor didn’t have it in stock. The new service manager said they would overnight one that would work. FYI I got charged for the overnight cost when if they would have started when they got the RV it wouldn’t have needed to have been overnighted or better yet had these items in stock. Then they cut the underbelly when they said they wouldn’t when changing tank gate valve. The tape came off on trip. The new service manager Eddy made it right but had to make another trip for the service.
They got us right in and performed prompt and professional service very happy with the outcome, would highly recommend them thank you service department (Mike)
I’ve had the best experiences with the Service Dept …
I’ve had 2 issues that were quickly resolved by their mechanics and completed in very short time …
Specifically, Rusty, has been an amazing liaison for me. His professional approach was heartwarming after dealing with a number of other mechanics at other dealers

Entire staff was friendly, professional and helpful with any questions we had. Very knowledgeable regarding the campers we were interested in.
