I like that they not only create musicians, but also help students develop other social skills.
Our son loves that he gets to learn songs he hears on the radio or movies. It's not just learning notes but putting it into practice. We also love his private instructor - Ariel. She is extremely patient, encouraging and so willing to do or try new things to help our son learn and stay engaged.
Great way to make friends and learn from awesome musicians that help you obtain your full musical potential.
I LOVE SCHOOL OF ROCK! I have been attending SOR for literally half of my life. The staff at Southlake continues to impress me--especially how they pivoted so quickly and smoothly to remote lessons. Love them!
Best way to learn to play Rock songs and build skills
It moves at your own, individual pace. Your instructor will tailor your lessons towards what you are interested in learning. The best thing is the live rehearsal/live performances. There is no substitute for having the opportunity ti practice with a band and aspire to play in front of people.
Easy access, fun, and getting the hang of how to read notes
Not sure if adults need a regular curriculum as part of the class lesson.. Students have to pay for study material.... I initially found that odd and thought it would have been included...
I have enjoyed the adult student band rehearsals.

All the teachers are amazing. My kids love it here.
The flexibility, teaching skills and the enthusiasm of the school in general.
The great musicians we have as instructors, teaching us more than we could have imagined about music and how to achieve great musicianship ourselves .
The cost vs benefit didn't equal. Great product and my kid loved it. But just couldn't justify the cost of everything....way too expensive.
Great instructors, now with on-line lessons, great opportunities for kids to perform onstage.
It is the only program of its kind and gives a unique opportunity for individuals to be part of a band.
It's great and I'm enjoying it. It just sucks it can't be in person right now due to the virus, but that is no fault of y'all's
They are personal and you learn songs that you want.
I love everything about this program and School of Rock itself! It's the best experience I have ever had.

Our School of Rock is amazing! Great people teaching great music to our kids. We're vey happy here and have been for many years now.
The dedication and people
Great programs and great teachers!!
Benjamin's classes with Christopher have been great! He's been super patient with him at the age of 5, and doing activities to keep him engaged well.
Provides my teen with a safe, creative environment to explore his musical interests with other teens/peers
Pricing and schedule convenience. $300 is a lot to pay for 1 -30 minute lesson and a 2nd day of band practice. Especially when the 2nd day must be a weekend. It’s a whole lot easier to pay$35 for a 30 minute lesson once a week.
My 10yo loves it - he’s getting to learn to play songs with other kids, and then he also gets a private lesson so he can hone his skills independently. It’s music with context, not in a vacuum! His teachers are patient and fun, he’s absorbing musical technique easily, and he can’t wait to go each week!
Abbey & Eric have been great about tailoring the lessons to what engages and excites my kids. They have been flexible with our crazy schedules and are creative when they're maybe a bit off (especially Abbey with the 4-year olds!).
School of Rock is awesome! They help kids and adults of all ages to learn and become rock stars. I have 2 kids that have learned how to play the electric guitar through their program and we could not be happier. School of rock not only teaches them but challenges them to become better and feel confident in their abilities.
I love the exposure to performing and being a part of a band. I love how much our son looks forward to his time at School of Rock, being with his friends and the amazing instructors.
Clear and concise information about student/parent expectations when a beginner is needed. We didn’t know where to wait for class to begin, etc. Also, there was no parent communication when a substitute was being used for lessons. This is important information especially when you have a child who does not adapt to change very well. Also after a group rock 101 class the teacher, whom I had never met, came into the waiting room and started addressing the entire group. I wasn’t sure if he was speaking to me or the others since I didn’t know him. I received a note on my child’s account that evening from this very teacher stating he wasn’t going to waste his precious class time to deal with “bad apples”. I wasn’t sure if this note came just to my child or to the entire class. But either way, no parent wants to have their child referred to as a “bad Apple”. In my opinion, if my child was misbehaving in a class I would want the teacher to address me personally and directly.
The manager is a friend of the family.
The awesome instructors & staff.
