Tim is an awesome instructor and we love the group performances!
Our kids look forward to their lesson and rehearsal time every week (especially during quarantine). Our oldest has now started a band using the skills and songs he continues to learn week to week. Great investment in creative playtime for both kids.
Challenged me to learn new songs and playing methods. I would have never tried on my own. The instructors are great, Bri is awesome, and the other participants are a blast.
My granddaughter just started but she liked her first lesson and everyone is friendly and seems committed to her learning to play the drums which are her goal.
School of Rock is so fun! Playing with a group teaches teamwork, and getting to learn to play his favorite songs is what my son likes best about the program.
Love the educational and roller coaster feeling when we perform. Love how we always pull together to overcome anything that comes our way. Lots of fun and worth the money!
I think the staff is superior ! I love the way each student works on group projects and works one on one with an amazing instructor for self improvement.
Prices area bit high for everyone to afford
The way School of Rock teaches music is how kids will, not only learn music theory or songs, but also fall in love with it by having the full experience of what being a musician is like. It motivates and challenges them constantly making them work hard and try to be better every time. They not only learn music, they learn team work, technical skills, stage presence, and passion.
My son who is an introvert is allowed to express himself through music. We have found something that he enjoys and that was brought out through the Cypress SoR!!
The convenience of online teaching

I really enjoy the staff at SOR/Cypress. Eric, Will, Josh and Noah are inspiring and enjoy having Eric as my instructor. The best part for me is belonging to the adult band, the experience and fun I have learning, rehearsing and playing together live on stage. I have enjoyed the relationships developed with my band. SOR enables me to expand, nurture and enjoy my hidden passion of rock music. Being a working-full-time father, the evening hours really help. I appreciate the communication by support staff when there are alternations to the day of my lesson.

The program does a decent job of teaching my son to play cover songs, but I don't feel like he's learning much music theory. I took weekly guitar lessons when I was 14, and after 6 months I had learned all the common chord structures, how to read music, major and minor scales, and the various modes. After two years with School of rock, my son has barely learned a fraction of this. From a learning perspective, I feel the program is a bit overpriced. We are seriously considering pulling him out of the program after this semester ends.
The one-on-one instructions is quite beneficial for me. I am not the average student. I decided to pursue my desire to play the electric guitar “later in life”. My instructor is very patient and quite gifted in the field of music and teaching.
