Just need some time to reflect on the cost and how to come up with the difference .
The gentleman that came showed up with a woman and dog in the passenger side. Very unprofessional to begin with. Then he had to be asked to put on his mask before entering my home and removed it from his face when he started talking about the quote. Visit was brief because I didn’t want anyone in my home without a mask during Covid.
Joe went to the wrong house, then seemed to struggle with what work we wanted done. Did not enter our crawl space to measure or see conditions of rotten wood. The quote we received could possibly be on the cheaper side of future quotes, but knowledge has a value.
Thorough estimate with questions answered to my satisfaction. The sales representative was attentive, friendly and I was able to review the paperwork without any immediate pressure.

I was very excited to have Woodland (a company I've been hearing for years on Moody Radio) come out and give me a quote. I liked the idea of supporting a Christian company.
Sales rep was great in person. But no quote ever showed up. I called him back, no reply. I emailed him, no reply. I called the main office three weeks later and then the rep sent a quote. I immediately replied with just one question... and as of this writing still no reply.
I get it, not every job is worth it... but if you don't want to bid something just say so. I would think $12K for 3 doors and 1 window would be a good job. But I can't say for sure as it isn't my industry.
Or, if you think I'll be a bad/difficult customer figure out a way get rid of be besides not returning my calls/e-mails.

I apologize for my lack of patience with the person who came out to take care of the rain water getting into a tiny area in our basement. We wanted it taken care of every much like in this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JnbtbUmdXjc
Instead, I heard a complicated, "it will cost a fortune presentation" that completely went over my head. I immediately realized the excavator, as me said he was, did not realized this 'Do It Yourself Job' was not looked at that way.
My husband and my health challenges right now hinders doing it ourselves. We thought that Beltway Builders would send handyman people out to help with a few things (we have a list) without all the sales tactics we can do without and is completely unnecessary.
With more than fifty years owning a few houses, I never heard such a classic piece of needless and time consuming presentation.
I need some other work done... If Beltway cannot send handyman assistance without the fear tactics and embellishment of work and price, please let me know. I do not want to go through this again. Not for something so simply. Thank you.
