Price way too high

My spouse was not pleased with your sales representative. He was not very aware of social distancing or COVID protocols. In addition, when he was discussing our project, he read from a website provided by a product manufacturer and did not appear to be very knowledgeable regarding the product or the overall installation; specifically, the need for guttering and/or bug prevention. lastly, the cost was significantly higher than expected and his comment was something like 'aren't these projects always more costly than expected."

THE BID FOR REPLACING THE HANGING CEILING APPEARS TO BE HIGH TO ME. BUT I HAVE NO PERSONAL KNOWLEDGE WHETHER IT IS A REASONABLE PRICE FOR THE WORKI TO BE DONE. I INTEND TO OBTAIN ANOTHER BID FOR COMPARISON. THAT ASIDE, THE INDIVIDUAL MS OWENS WAS VERY HELPFUL LISTENING TO MY CONCERNS AND PROVIDING TO ME OTHER OPTIONS.

We had a small job and we really did not need a contractor - just a handyman. When I was contacted by the office to set up an appointment I asked if there was a minimum charge for a job and was told no. However, when the gentleman came and looked at the project, I was told there was a $350 minimum.

We needed a contractor to put a cover over a roof vent. It was too small of a job for him.

You didn't show up. Appointment was 5:30 -7 pm. At 8 I called and spoke to someone who told me that she was going to contact the person and have them call me to let me know if they were still coming. That was Thursday, today is Saturday, still have not heard from anyone.

Bob presented a number of options and ideas. He knows his business and we connected well. I am just waiting for the other bids but very impressed with our discussion which convinces me that your company with do quality work.

Outrageous contractor estimate for handyman work

The evaluator was on time and gave expert advice to help me decide on a choice of fencing

I decided to table the project after discussing it with my family

Not much. I am only in the initial stages of selecting someone to do the work I want done. I have no one to compare you to yet.

The sales Rep didn't seem that interested in actually closing the sale and kept telling us to go to the store (which we weren't interested in doing) and then quoted doors that don't exist (fit) the area we have.

I was told I would get an estimate within 48, as of yesterday I have not received it.

You refused to finish the work on my house. The project lagged for a year. Many errors were committed then had to be corrected; work had to be redone. (You put the wrong siding on - twice, for instance. And screwed up the structure of the porch in a couple ways. I ended up having to have a dumb looking border instead of the proper vertical full surface finish.) I could go on and on... you left a bunch of junk on my property that is still there and that I will have to pay to remove. In short, in 50 years of home ownership, and the full renovation of 3 houses, I have never had a worse experience with workmen and poor or simply wrong work. After over $50,000 spent with you, you weaseled out of the last contract, and left me with a window that you broke, sanding and painting work undone, and abjectly refused to finish, claiming all you had to do was send me a refund. You run a sloppy, shabby, dishonest company. I couldn’t be more disgusted and fed up and angry. Any other questions?

Googled "double pane glass window pane repair Baltimore". Found your company in the results. Called, gave the person who answered the phone a specific description of the job (single pane of double paned vinyl glass window is broken, need a repair." She was very short, did not ask any questions, or allow me to provide other details. Brusquely asked for my name, address, etc. Told me a person would be at my house on Wednesday between 5:30 and 7. Luckily we didn't wait very long for the estimate, because when the repairman see showed up (he was very nice) he let us know that you all don't even repair glass.

We are scheduled to have our house, gutters and garage power washed either 7/21 or 7/22.
They were very timely in their quote and professionally answered all our questions.

Individual came out to look at my work request and stated he would send me an estimate in a couple of hours. I still haven't received an estimate or any communication since.

As your company was the first, I do not have anything to compare it to but I was pleased with response and the estimate.

The quote was twice as much as other providers.

Please know that everyone we talked to was very nice and always professional. The issue is around timing and price. A 14 week wait for installation for a relatively simple sliding glass door excluded you from the onset. I’m sure that is due to complexities of COVID, but it was by far the longest wait time of anyone we talked with. It also didn’t help that you have “your” doors made in a factory on the east coast and trucked in. Not only does it add more wait time, but it means we have few options for service or support if you go out of business. Lastly, yours was the highest price we were quoted and more than double what paid... and we didn’t go with the low cost option. Best of luck and I hope you find continued success. -First name removed
