Pro Got an almost new bike at a discount. Pretty fast delivery. Very well packed. (I'm keeping the box for future use.).Easy, minimal assembly with good instructions.(Though I have too much experience to be a good judge.) Included tools are a bonus.

Con: Limited selection. Can't try before you buy. I bought an ebike for my wife, who is a very casual cyclist. She had tried out a similar model owned by a friend and said "Yeah, this will work." As an avid cyclist, I would be much more hesitant to buy a bike for myself online without being able to make sure I was getting the best size for me and that I would actually like it better than what I am currently riding.

The shop was easy to work with and offered a good financing program.

The brick and mortar Trek store I used to live near is one of the only bike shops that I haven't felt belittled or looked down on in. Most bike store employees I have encountered are impatient and judgmental with people still learning about bikes, but Trek employees are genuinely friendly, welcoming and happy to educate. This is what made me go to Trek's online store when looking for a new helmet and gloves, as I no longer live near a Trek store. I was pleasantly surprised that what I was looking for was on sale, so I ended up finding quality gear at an affordable price. I'm not usually one to write reviews or express brand loyalty, but I am a big fan of Trek and will be returning.
