I looked at all options. I’m 6’3” and needed a xl 29er. This powerfly is awesome. I have great confidence in the Bosh motor and battery system.
As a trade in thru the red barn it made the bike affordable. The little things make a big difference. I knew going in that peddles were not included. I purchased new ones. When I went to install them I realized I needed new washers. Trek included a packet with new ones. Little things make a big difference.
New tires looks like a new chain. Everything is right and tight.

I purchased a Powerfly FS4 Gen 2 because I wanted an electric mountain bike, but I didn't want to spend too much money because I am a casual rider. The Powerfly FS 4 seemed to fit my needs very well. However, I am not a fan of the 29 inch tires. Its my first bike with 29s and I may just need to get used to them. The real problem I have with this bike is the suspension. I hate the shocks. I cannot get the required amount of air into the rear shock. They pump that came with this bike quit working after I aired up the front forks. Trek sent me a replacement and it will not build the required amount of air pressure. I need ~230 psi and I can't get over ~150. I may have a bad shock. I am considering returning this bike. If I had done the proper research and realized it had this fork/shock setup I would not have purchased it. I have enjoyed riding it but I know that it is not set up the way that it is supposed to be and if I can get is set up correctly then it will be more enjoyable. I will check with my local Trek dealer to see if they can get the suspension set up for me before I decide to return it.

Great staff members, easy shopping experience online, and the packaging was FANTASTIC when the bike arrived at my house. The RedBarn refurbished bike experience was exactly as described. I did note that the front brake and derailleur needed some adjustment, but otherwise an easy process.
