I pay for annual cleaning/maintenance checks every year. Last year I had a maintenance check done. I had a new air filter & humidifyer filter ready to put in and asked the service technician to put both of them in. He put in the humidifyer filter but said that the air filter was clean so he did not put in the new air filter. The air filters are too difficult for me to put in myself. I did not say anything to him when he told me that it was clean and did not need replacement but when I pay to have them put in during the annual maintenance, I expect that the service technician does it.

Make sure to re attach the water hose to the central air unit in the basement. It took me quite some time to figure the hose thing out since we had several raining days and I thought it was seeping in from the ground. Only to find it was from the furnace/ac. Otherwise they are great.
