Convenient & reliable
We've done business with Standard Heating for many years -- two furnaces, water heater, air exchanger and service calls -- and have been happy with the service. Appointments are on time and servicemen have been very good.

I'm a repeat customer--this is your third visit to my home in a year. This time, I was billed $73 for literally 6-7 minutes of work, resetting my furnace which had shut off after I was dumb enough to forget to change the filter. This was on top of the service charge. So my actual cost was $150.
I really feel taken advantage of. I had a similar feeling when you worked on my AC, but at least then you changed a part.
My recommendation to you is that you give customers a one-time "get out of jail free" card for issues like this. You had a moment yesterday where you could have made a customer for life and gotten the NPS score that you're obviously after here. I would have talked about that, posted how customer-focused you are online, etc. Now I feel like I learned a very expensive lesson about changing filters. So you schooled me, but you don't get any positive credit for that lesson. I would have learned the other way too.
In my initial dealings with you, I liked your approach and service better than what I heard Home Service Plus does. But at this point, it's probably worth the trade-offs. I won't feel bad as a result of making those payments.
Seriously, consider the "get out of jail free card" for these kinds of dumb, no-cost-to-you 10-minutes-or-less visits. Your NPS score will go through the roof.

asked specifically to send a tech out that also knew about van e- air exchanger...tech knew nothing about them and said he would have someone call us that same day to schedule an appt and no one called and we haven't heard from you since...disappointed in your service tech as well as your followup.

Steve took the time to go through everything in detail with us. He was not rushed, he was very knowledgeable about not only your equipment but that of competitors as well, and he was a very likable guy that appeared honest and not pushy for another sale. I like this type of sales approach.
