I studied bikes online for a while before making a purchase, and then went to Freewheel. The transaction was fast and efficient. The staff was knowledgeable and low-pressure. Now I have a nice new bike. I will update later if/when I need more service.
Very knowledgable people - (They are passionate about cycling - I can tell.) I appreciate the little things like the easy fixes (for pro techs') that are done super quick, like under 2 minutes - usually for free. That makes me feel like I can trust the techs' at Freewheel.
One quick note: My advice is to have the tech gauge the customer's level of knowledge and interest in the intricacies of bike maintenance - sometimes I hear the techs' "over-explain" things to customers - They really just want to leave and get back on the road. I love the enthusiasm, but maybe "read the room" a little better? I hope that's not too harsh :) You guys are awesome!
