Excellent customer service
Great deals on the stuff I want. Fast delivery. And Canadian!
The sales person (I think his name was Marshall) was excellent. He listened to me carefully and had experience with other people in a similar situation as me. I ended up buying one of the e-bicycles he showed me and which I test-rode. So far, so good.
When I went to pick up my bicycle I felt really let down. No one asked me if I needed any of the typical accessories a bicycle needs - lock, panniers, helmet, water bottle holder, etc. No one asked if I understood how to use the e-bike controls. No one checked to see the seat was at the right height. No one said "congratulations on your new bike!".
For me, spending $3K on a new bicycle was a big deal, but to the store personnel it was nothing special. Everyone was friendly and courteous, but there was nothing programmatic to make sure I was happy with my purchase and would view Sweet Pete's favourably. Actually, I do not blame the people working there at all; I blame management. They should have a plan in place for delivering new bicycles to customers but apparently there isn't one.
I went online and purchased an expensive helmet as well as a trunk pack. These sales should have been Sweet Pete's but instead I had the items sent directly to my home. When people ask me if they should shop at Sweet Pete's I'd probably say "Sure! But shop around and make sure they're the best deal."
Great selection and prices. Quick delivery. My bike is ready for the rain, now.

I will come tomorrow in person, to show you. I bought two sets of Shimano Disc brake pads, and one was one pad short. As I waited to get served I noticed an open package of tubeless plugs and put them on your counter and pointed it out to the kid working. He was oblivious. No doubt, this is why my pads were shorted. Also, a pal had paid online for some gear but you would not refund on line because I picked it up in store. Tektro Lever set for Timothy Sawa

The store carries a variety of quality products at reasonable prices, sales staff (Brent) was knowledgeable and skilled at helping me choose the best bike for me, and the store offered services that come with the bike purchase.

Things are simple and easy . No upsell. No down talk. No problem recommending somebody who might do the job better. Willing to tell you if something is worth it or needed for your type of riding . And last but not least the staff are friendly and not “ bike jerks/snobs.
I work at SPINNING WHEELS in the 80’s and this is the closest bike store experience like that remaining in this town.
