Easy order & pick up
Everyone who works here is just very nice and accommodating. They treat you with respect and explain things to you without making you feel ignorant. They give you an honest description of what work needs to be done to your bike so there aren't any surprises when you pick up your bike. I find that the employees enjoy working there and are happy to help you out.

I need to see much more courteous customer service. We are all stressed, all on edge. "Hello", "How are you today" "How can I help you?", may seem pithy but would go a long way to prevent misunderstandings.
I didn't appreciate my bike being called "this thing" but if there had been a friendly smile, I would have been certain no insult was intended.
My helmet and lock were handed to me without a word and the dismayed look on my face was ignored. I had assumed I could leave them with the bike so I hadn't brought a bag and I didn't look forward to carrying the heavy lock the two kilometre walk home. If the salesperson had been polite, I would have bought a bag.
My biggest problem was transparency and here I admit I was on edge. More than once, I have taken a bike in for a tune up and been faced additional charges, sometimes more than two hundred dollars. The last time, the mechanic replaced a one year old sixty dollar tire with a twenty dollar tire because he saw cracks. I was asked if I was okay with paying for brake pads and cables, I asked how much they were and thought about it since I can replace those parts myself. I asked what was covered in a tune up and was told "labour". I wanted more detail so I asked again and was told "just the labour".
That was when I had had enough and went home with my bike. I don't know that I was a victim of sexism or ageism but I thought about it and I don't like to think that way. I do think I was treated with contempt and I can't do business without respect.
All the same, I am impressed by your query and grateful that you chose to follow up a problem. I will consider shopping at Sweet Pete's in the future
