I like you folks and you’ve helped me get things I need when others couldn’t or wouldn’t. It’s also a cool rarity that you’re a multi-generation family business. Trouble is there’s also a peculiar “crankiness” or distance in the customer experience that I’ve gotten used to over the years, but that can be off-putting. When I refer friends to your shop, I feel like it’s necessary to warn them about this.
Maybe try walking into an Apple Store and thinking about the experience. It’s inviting, friendly, exciting even. Then, imagine you’re a new customer at your own store — is it inviting, friendly, and exciting? In my view, the design of the interaction between customer and merchandise or customer and staff is substantially different. This is not about white walls and slick tables; rather it’s about feeling welcome to engage with the people and things that are there.
Loved the tune up. Rode my bike up Old La Honda and down 84 today. Brilliant service.
It’s a real personal feel at your store that I don’t feel at other stores. That’s why I’ll go the extra miles to bring my bike over when needed or get new bike things.

Friendly and helpful service, knowledgeable staff, local family- owned business. CR have, on several occasions, helped me out with weird bike issues which took their time with no evident sales benefit to them. A great community bike store.

Generally a nice group of staff.
However, one staff member, Kevin J. was super helpful and extremely knowledgeable in helping me to make the right decision when buying my 1st road bike.
Kevin took over an hour to help get me fitted on two different types of Trek road bikes (Emonda & Damone) and with Chain Reaction, I was able to also take the bike for a 4mi. road demo.
Afterwards, Kevin continued to help me make tweaks and even swapped out the stem (no charge).

With Kevin’s exceptional customer service and a great price, I ended up buying it right then a there that day.
Your customer service was excellent. I felt prioritized and understood what I was paying for and why. The team had multiple opportunities to upsell me for services I didn't need but provided honest answers on what was needed and what could be done later. I will be coming back for any maintenance related to my Trek bike.

I have been a customer for almost 25 years. Every time I visit your shop, everyone is nice and very knowledgeable. The work you have done on my bike has been clean, precise and reasonably priced. I always get honest answers and would highly recommend Chain Reaction to anyone.
Friendly shop that takes the time to listen to you, address your concerns, and then takes time to investigate and then explain in plain easy to understand terms what they have (or have not) found and what they can (or cannot) do.
Sales associate was very helpful, friendly and patient to guide me to select a bike for our son.
I just wish they have a way for children to ride the bike somewhere instead of bike trainer… It’s hard for children to feel how the ride is without actually riding one.
