Not having owned a bike for many years it was a little daunting to walk into a specialist outlet in the knowledge that we were going to be asking many questions, the answers to most of which, to an experienced rider we understood may have appeared obvious. Well, we need not have worried one bit, from the moment we walked in we were made to feel very welcome, nothing was too much trouble and the level of knowledge and experience shared was hugely appreciated and very helpful. Time was no object, we were able to test ride and understand the differences between the bikes, what was important and what not so for our needs. There were no pushy sales tactics just lots of info and much needed advice. In the end we went for an E Mountain Bike and cannot wait to get out there and try it out. Huge, huge thanks to Mike who was so knowledable, patient and helpful, also to the rest of the team who were all so accommodating and pleasant. Would I recommend Big Bear Bikes? You bet I would 😊. I came to the shop with a problem with a road cycle wheel/tyre. This problem was identified within minutes and a solution provided. The service I received was exemplary - professional, courteous and helpful.

I was having trouble with my gear shifting after a small stick went into my jockey wheels. I asked about dropping the bike in but was told I could bring it in now. 1/2 an hour later, new mech hanger fitted all was good.

Very competitive prices. Extremely knowledgeable . No pressure to purchase. Staff I met including the delivery driver all friendly and easy to deal with as opposed to some specialist bike shops that can come over as 'superior'. Would buy from them again.
