I’ve been to a lot of bike shops in the last few weeks, and Bicycle Habitat was by FAR the friendliest and most helpful. I went to two locations, both the one on Vanderbilt in Brooklyn and the one on 7th and 23rd in Manhattan. Justine sold me the Trek FX1 that I ended up getting, she was so knowledgeable, and she made it a really fun and enjoyable process. I will be a loyal customer for sure!

I Love this place!
I left my Trek bike, which I bought from Bike Habitat, there for an estimate on some work. After getting the estimate, I decided not to have the work done now and picked it up, after being assured the bike was good to go.All had gone smoothly and pleasantly.After getting the bike put on the street though,I realized cables had not been reconnected and I had no rear brake. This seems very careless of your staff.

Great friendly service
I walked in not knowing if I needed new brakes because mine were very noisy! Libby was super kind and helpful, and fit me in on the spot. Mike fixed up my brakes and adjusted my headset. The squeak is gone, and my ride is noticeably much smoother. Mike did great work. What I loved about my experience was how personable everyone in the shop was down to the little things like holding the door as I wheeled my bike in and out. There was no pressure to buy things or get service I didn't need. Big thank you to the whole team there with special shout outs to Libby and Mike! I'll definitely come back.

I am so impressed with the 5th Avenue stores customer service. I was riding my newly purchased bike up ninth street when something happened to the rear wheel, making the bike un rideable. I walked it to the 5th Avenue store and saw it was closed on Tuesdays. A staff member was talking to someone through the half opened gate and he asked me what happened. Instead of telling me to come back on Wednesday, he took the bike in and determined that a part broke and I would need a new derailer, that they would have to order. They then advocated with Giant for a warranty claim, which Giant rejected and they told me that Bycycle Habitat would honer the claim for the part and asked me to pay for the labor. Thank you Brian and Edmund!
