The cleaning is quite superficial- the floors still have dirt and spots, the table and counters were wiped but not scrubbed, and the don't get edges.
I don't get a note to tell me what they did and where they focused.
They only stay 1hr (for $100, I would expect them to stay longer and be more thorough).
They do not come at a consistent time so I have difficulty planning.
And it seems to be different cleaners each week, so I don't know if they even do focus, or know what was done previously.
Overall, I've been disappointed with the quality- I don't feel it is a good value.
I am considering whether to cancel the service.
Consistency of service is very important to me. Your employees are consistently cheerful and open to feedback and suggestions. Very nice!
The place doesn't fell clean at all. Nothing of my kids toys is even put away in obvious places.
The furniture is not cleaned or wiped or even dusted.
On the kitchen, the sink is not shining, the counter tops are not bleached the appliances with obvious dust are not even wiped.
The bathroom, I keep needing to remind the staff to brush the floors and use bleach.
If I am present I will always remind them , this is rare to happen because we tend to leave the unit before they come.
The cleaning before last, the bathroom smelled of urine for 2 days and I had a hard time getting rid of the smell, I didn't bother to report that because I got fed up and I just wanted to cancel. They called me saying the staff is changed and I was assigned a new team in another location, so I said I will call to cancel but I was busy and I didn't and I was surprised to find someone already come in to clean although they didn't call to confirm. But I let them finish the job.
The staff has changed and better result was done. But usually this is not the case.
There is dust on the bathroom toilet, counter by the window and again it is obvious and doesn't get cleaned.
I feel the staff really clean by the mm and not the way their houses to be.
I pay allot of money but I don't get near what I expected .
I kept the service because I signed up for 16 services, but even though the staff that is assigned to my unit is changed I am concedering stopping the service.
It seems that my cleanings are not the quality that they used to be. I have taken to doing a few of the things missed myself but there is a limit as to what I can or should do with my health situation.
What can be done to get back to the way it used to be?
I may be spoiled from my last cleaning company but I am very disappointed in the servioce. Routine things that I expect cleaned are not.The person was here alone for just over two hrs. Fpr 115.00 dollars that is just not acceptable. THis house needs at least 3-4 hrs by a single person. No way can everything be done well in that short a period of time. Soprry...
Service is really expensive compared to competitors.
Inconsistency of cleaning staff - different people each time, don't know the house nor the guidelines established, leads to inconsistency in quality of cleaning services
No advance notice regarding time of arrival although I have asked for this several times.
I put an empty trash bag on the door where the trash is kept. The first week it was ignored and no trash was emptied. I called and the next week the trash was emptied but a new trash bag was not put in the container. Also, the burners (the silver part under the burners) need cleaning, I gave this info to the Merry Maid person when I called, they said no problem, and when I came home they were not cleaned. I'm not talking about inside the stove (which I realize costs extra), just the silver parts on top of the stove (electric) that need to be cleaned.
I am able to have the same person- so she knows the house and has a better sense what needs to be addressed -- over and above the planned cleaning focus.
My house is large and whenever you send one person there are just lots of small things not done. I don't think the baseboards in my small bathroom are ever dusted (until I do it). I like Merry Maids because you are very reliable and your employees treat my home and belongings respectfully. But I get solicitations from other companies every day and I am tempted to go elsewhere because Merry Maids charges top dollar -- and does not deliver top service.
Dianne, the young woman who came to our house in January, did a very good job.
They need to clean under furniture, they say the do that and the two times they have cleaned my house I still see dust bunnies everywhere..
The team never shows up. And when they do they do not clean right. The sink was not cleaned, the toilet, the bath, the dining room table and floors were not cleaned. Very disappointed!
The cleaning team does a thorough job in all areas of the condo.
Better attention to details. Such as cleaning the floor BEHIND the door.

We hired a branch of your company to do a thorough cleaning of our new house before we moved in. We went through the whole house for an estimate and contracted them to do a one-time cleaning of the entire house, including all the appliances and cabinets in the kitchen and inside a bench in the stairwell. After they did their "cleaning," the cabinets and bench were not done at all, the floors were still dusty, the oven and refrigerator were still dirty, and there was still dust/cobwebs all over the house. We complained about the cabinets not being done and they claimed that they didn't have it in their notes (although we had it in our copy of the contract and we were charged for them). They made no comments or apologies regarding our comments about the quality of the other work and the work that was not done, but did refund us $109 from the previous quote. They also returned the keys one day later than they said they would without any communication. There's a more thorough review on Angie's List.
Maybe I was mistaken by the level of cleaning I purchased, but they really didn't clean as much (or as thoroughly) as I expected.

I have only had two visits thus far, but was told that the first one was a "deep clean". It's a $300 cleaning, and I owe that full amount if I cancel the service within a year. However, I do not feel like I received a $300 top to bottom cleaning as was explained to me. We were told two people usually arrive for that cleaning and only one came. There are cobwebs on the ceilings that I would have expected would have been covered in this cleaning. My husband's nightstand was still dusty after their cleaning, a hall mirror wasn't cleaned, my son's floor had dust and dirt under his desk that wasn't cleaned up. I was disappointed. I am hoping the cleanings going forward are better, but do not feel like I got my $300's worth in that first cleaning.
your staff was very personable and helpful. on very short notice they were available and professional.
There appears to be a general lack of attention to detail. I don't feel like my house is as clean as it should be after you complete your service.
My home is mostly clutter free and I am very clean so I would expect more.

This was a cleaning for a small empty apartment. Kitchen, bathroom and 3 small carpeted rooms. No furniture, no dusting, just vacuuming and then the kitchen and bathroom. I paid $210 for this service. The refrigerator was not cleaned, nor any other appliance. Not one drawer was opened or cleaned and no cabinets were cleaned out. I had explained I was moving out of this apartment and it was empty.
I had thought $210 was expensive for an empty apartment but being recently diagnosed with breast cancer while I was trying to move, it was one thing I thought I wouldn't have to worry about and it wouldn't expose me to cleaning chemicals either. I was wrong.
I needed to find someone to go back and clean what I THOUGHT I had paid for and pay them to clean what Merry Maids did not.
It was never explained that there would be areas that were not cleaned when I scheduled this service. Maybe it was my fault for assuming that $210 included things like that in an EMPTY apartment.
I am extremely disappointed. I will not use nor will I recommend Merry Maids to anyone. I have already told many people about my experience and advised them to find another service if they are looking for cleaning services.
Although it's still better than doing the cleaning myself, there is so much they don't clean that it becomes frustrating to come home on days that they've been there.
